Went last night. If you love Italian food, you will never go anywhere else for an Italian meal. A family run business serving proper authentic Italian cuisine at very reasonable prices. Loved it.

Went for my birthday lunch today with the family and we all loved it. Family friendly, made a fuss of kids and delicious food.

We've been a couple of times now. The food is lovely & the staff are very friendly + helpful. Nice whether popping in for a drink or for a meal, we'll be going back for sure! The caprino pasta penne is so tasty (as are the garlic mushrooms). Washed down with a Moretti = perfect!

Quiet meal on a Monday. Food was delicious as always. Great service

Went last night for my 50th Birthday with Hubs, food was as gorgeous as usual but booked a quiet table for a special occasion & when we arrived the waiter didnt even listen that we'd booked for something special even though we tried to tell him & we just sat with everone else :-/ Luckily it wasnt busy but still, not the point. Would go back though because the food is amazing :-) xx

Great food at a fabulous price (early bird discount) large portion sizes. No complaints with food/service. We wasn't advised about group service charge, which had been included on the bill. But all in all, a great first experience at Ancora.

Food very good but service was very slow main course came out together there were 8 of us but sweets cane out first 2 with no spoons asked 15 min later 2 more sweets still no spoons then a cup of tea came no milk then the last sweets and at last the spoons all in all took half an hour for sweets to come out then the coffees arrived minus the coffee in them just milk think they need a little training of staff

It was purely ok, nothing to bang on about. Came this evening for a Sunday roast. The roast beef was very fatty and took ages to chew. Yorkshire puddings really tiny and obviously packaged ones. For some reason the carrots were humongous and literally had just been chopped at an angle and put on the plate. No other vegetable available apart from the cabbage with bacon bits on (Broccoli, cauliflower, peas would have been nice). Lots of space left on the plate when it was served.

It was ok, friendly staff but food was nothing I couldn't make at home to the same or higher standard for a fraction of the cost. More than likely won't go back.

Crowded, noisy, one drinks order didn't arrive at all, one child's dessert arrived as an adult portion; however the food was good and the cost of the dessert was removed from the bill. I'll avoid Sunday tea time in future.

A party of us had evening meal most of the meal up to standard. But two people had the seafood risotto was very watery and not very nice had this dish 2 week ago and it was lovely did not want to make a fuss and spoil the persons occasion.

£6.50 for a pint of Shandy. Yes it's True!!!! £4.50 for the beer & £2.00 for the lemonade. Won't ever be going back!!!!!!! Even the wine was over priced it's only Chadderton FGS! �

Visited here many times but was very disappointed with our Mother’s Day meal. Our table was booked for 6.30pm and when we came to order we were told no fillet or T-bone steak, no pizza and garlic bread- in an Italian restaurant! We order the lamb and five minutes later we then got told no lamb. I feel too many bookings had been accepted and staff were overwhelmed.

Unfortunately I cant give a zero star rating- Booked a table for mothers day meal for 14, waited over an hour to get a table despite booking prior, staff were unhelpful and dismissive when we enquired about our table. Didn’t actually make it to the table so cant comment on the food, however there waiting area was a lovely place to spend our evening!

Have to agree with Mandy And Hannah Carrington. This was our first visit for mothers day and it was a shambles. The table was booked for 14 for 7.45. No one even came to offer us a menu in over an hour. Staff were totally disinterested. In disgust and disappointment ended up walking out after about an hour and fifteen minutes. If you can't fulfull the booking don't take it and ruin a family meal.
