Ok here it is finished, my pub sign for some friends of ours, I did the writing in colour so that it stands out more

So this is my new project so far, for the pub, obviously there's a lot more to do, and I think I will do the bird in colour.

I've not made anything for a bit, but I just started a new one tonight, will post a pic tomorrow of it so far... I might mix paint with wood burn.... I can't decide.... It's a 'welcome' sign for a pub....

At last! My wood above the fire is up!

I'm. Loving the colour, this is natural too not a stain. It's finished now, once the teak oil dries in its ready to be put up! 😊

So my wood worm treatment hasn't turned up and because I'm impatient, I have skipped that part for now and got straight on with the teak oil but, it needs another one or two coats after 24hrs, and then it's good to go, so hopefully by Tuesday it's up and over the fire! 😊

Look at that!!! All cleaned and sanded, did that yesterday, just have to treat it for wood worm just to be safe as there are a few holes in it but once it's treated I will then treat it with teak oil to give it some protection and then, its ready to be put up above the fire! Apparently you have to wait about 4 days after treating it with wood worm stuff before doing anything with it, so hopefully by next weekend it's will be ready to go up! Love the colour of it!!
