We are now on the verge of bursting at the seams and are in need of assistance by way of volunteers. Also plastic guinea pig cages and single outdoor hutches.

We have the date for the airing of Inside out on Andrew's Hedgehog Hospital. To quote an Aussie expression "Cool the tinnies and warm up the T.V." Monday 24th September at 7.30pm BBC1

Hi my name is Mo, the marathon running hedgehog. I'm as fast as a 'bolt' when I get going. I'm helping my friends at Andrew's to raise funds for their new dedicated Hospital being built in the grounds of Elsham Gardens and Country Park. There will also be a 1 km circuit for juniors. Walk, Jog or run the Hedgehog Half Marathon starting and finishing in the grounds of Normanby Hall Country Park on Sunday 7 October 2018 to help raise vital funds to help reverse the decline of hedgehog numbers in the wild. While I'm busy training in the gym why not print the picture below or email info@andrewshedgehoghospital.org.uk for a sponsorship form? Curly's The Hedgehog Half Marathon!

Due to our current heavy work load we are looking for more volunteers to help with the hedgehogs and a volunteer part time admin assistant. Hours worked are usually in the morning starting at 9am and hopefully finishing at lunchtime. Please give us a ring on 01724 872726 if you have a love of wildlife and would like to help us save hedgehogs.

Feeding time at the hedgehog 'zoo' is a little crazy at times. These 4 gorgeous little hoglets are now fed, bathed and resting in their warm bed together again. Please don't criticise us for 'swimming' these babies, they are in for a very short time(around 5-8 seconds) and it has proved to work wonders and helps build muscle whilst doing the vital cleaning job Mum would otherwise have done. Happy weekend to you all. Curly's

What lovely people - devoting their lives to help this wonderful animal THE HEDGEHOG. Love them - I wish you all the support you can gather, and even better I wish you lots of money. These hedgehogs need us to help them, as so many ignorant people are allowing them to go extinct without it. Money and funds are needed to be able to provide a hospital and for the charity to continue to exist long into the future. Keep up the good work !!! (ps met you all at Chatsworth Show and we will be designing and buying you some new banners)

We've just taken in one of the hedgehogs from our garden to Veronica at the hedgehog hospital, as he has got pneumonia. When we got there we witnessed the great care Veronica was giving another hedghog who was just being admitted. We saw her remove ticks from the little fella & handled him with such care. We then stayed to observe our fella being admitted. Veronica was so knowledgable about caring for these lovely little creatures & she gave us some great advice about creating a little hedghog feeding station in the garden & advice about the dietary requirements. We came away feeling so happy to know that our poorly hedghog is betting the very best of care & spurred on to make our garden even more inviting to the little creatures! They're doing such a great job! Thank you guys for all that you do for needy hedgehogs!

I found a small hedgehog out in the daytime near a busy road a couple of weeks ago, it looked like it had come through a fence and been unable to get back through. While I talked to Frank on the phone someone else brought me a box and together we managed to get it inside the box. When I explained I can't drive Frank was there within 10-15 minutes to pick it up and he was really friendly. Great local charity :)

User

I found a baby hedgehog out in the daylight near a main road. We took her to Andrews, they treated her and fed her up and now she’s back with us for overwintering together with Ayesha who we got a couple of weeks before for overwintering. Wonderful charity who work so very, very hard.

User

Frank and Veronica are amazing. I first met them when I found a garden hedgehog out in the daylight and she had a lump on her eye. They organised vet appointments and Cyclops ( as she has become) had an operation on her eye. She came home and I looked after her and then she was re released and is still a regular visitor. Since then I have become slightly hedgehog mad! My husband has installed a night vision camera over my feed bowls so I can watch my garden hogs from the comfort of my sofa! We even wintered a very grumpy hog called huffnpuff last year! Thank you for all you do for hedgehogs and for all your help and advice over the years.

User

Amazing work done by Frank, Ronnie and the volunteers to help sick, injured and orphaned Hedgehogs have a chance for a wild life.
