absolutely fantastic food, the speciality is kleftiko, just like my mum makes it! Very friendly service, all the staff have time for a chat and shouted us liqueur shots at the end of our meal. True Greek hospitality!

What a great find, we were on our way to Regents Park Open Air Theatre but needed to eat before the show. We came across this Greek Taverna, liked the look of the place and the menu. We were not disappointed, the ambience was good and the place soon filled out, and the food was excellent; we had the sharing Meze. It's a family run business, we will definitely be going back.

We went there for dinner last night and despite they were busy with Xmas dinners they found us a table. The food was delicious, quality/quantity and price very good and the staff super friendly :) congratulations for having such an amazing restaurant, we will be back soon!

We had a fantastic experience last night in this wonderful wee taverna. Food was excellent and the waiter let me try 3 different wines before I got 1 to my liking( I'm fussy about wine) service was amazing. The place itself was really busy all night so I recommend you book before you go. We shall be back , got to be up there with one of the best Greek food in London.

We had a fab evening and Andy's happily accommodated our group of 20 although we booked well in advance. Amazing value, delicious food, great atmosphere. Wonderful place!

This unassuming restaurant at first sight has the best Greek food I’ve ever eaten. Friendly attentive staff discussed the dishes with us. We did the Andy’s special Mezedes with 7 cold starters, 3 hot starters and a mixed grill and kleftico. The cold starters was a platter of dips with bread that was amazing! Creamy taramusalata, a delicious hummus, crisp tzatziki, an aubergine dip, a potato salad, a beetroot salad and broad beans were served with warm bread. There were unlimited olives that were marinated in herbs and coriander seeds! The hot starters were a lovely grilled halloumi with pork and calamari that was out of this world! The mixed grill had the most amazing chicken skewers that were meltingly delicious along with lamb skewers and spicy sausage. Then was the kleftico which was the star dish! Melting off the bone and absolutely delicious. We had ouzo as a complementary drink at the end. I loved the atmosphere and friendliness of this restaurant. Great food, great prices and wonderful people!

It was a few days ago that I was desperately in need of some real Greek food but even more, of some relaxing, Greek energy. It was a sunny day and I was in London instead of on a beach on a Greek island. There were several Greek restaurants in the neighbourhood but the one with tables outside, was Andy's Taverna. So I chose to sit there. It was the best choice I could have ever made!

There are no words to describe the completely authentic Greek hospitality. First, they brought some delicious olives (and considering I am Greek, I really know what nice olives taste like.) After having looked at the menu, I saw that the variety of dishes on offer was quite satisfying. Of course I ordered mousaka, kleftiko, tzatziki and dolmades. Everything was so tasty and especially the kleftiko, which was actually better than in several places in Athens. The wine selection was also more than sufficient but the best of all, was the staff's attitude, the atmosphere and the whole welcoming energy.

We stayed for a good eight hours; I invited some of my English friends over and when they arrived, we ordered more food, more wine, more tsipouro. While we all talked with the other Greek, Spanish and English people that were there, the restaurant offered us a lot of meze (greek tapas) and wine for free! It really was like a sunny Sunday in Athens, like how we Greeks usually are… Andy’s Taverna, although it doesn't impress you at first sight, is a beautiful meeting point of good, honest people and yummy food that surely gives off the vibes of the good old fashioned Greece!

Surely enough, ten days later we were back there and that is when we realised that the atmosphere is like this all the time. The owner is such a fantastic man whose employees seem to respect him because of his good character. I hope this guy opens a taverna on a Greek island one day - he really knows how to make people happy. Every single one of the people who were working there was such a nice person!

We really were very impressed and it will definitely be our Sunday meeting point. Therefore, we want to let everybody in London know that if they ever feel the need for some friendly, relaxing Greek energy, along with a decent variety of proper Greek food and wine, Andy’s is the place to be!

I first started going to Andy’s in the early 1970s when I used to work in Camden Town. A group of us went there regularly, we would buy our wine in Tesco and they would open it and give us glasses. They were in Bayham St then. I’ve been a fan of Andy’s ever since. Had a fab meal there last night. The Kleftiko is to die for. Amazing bread and dips for starters. Great service and very reasonable prices. There was a queue outside when we left at 7.30 so advisable to book first. What a little gem of a place!

Had an amazing evening there for my partner’s birthday. Delicious authentic food and very attentive staff who made sure our group had a great night. Best Greek restaurant in London

Excellent food, excellent service! Staff are attentive, happy and polite. Awesome atmosphere with the most delicious food. If I didn't live on the other side of the world I'd be here every week 👍

During a great British heatwave, the air conditioning at Andy’s Green Taverna was an absolute delight on our recent visit! I really like this restaurant. A great local Greek restauarant, with friendly staff, good food and reasonable prices. The menu is varied so it caters well for different tastes, portion sizes are sensible (not too small and so big you leave feeling like you’ve over eaten) and it’s a good laid back place for a family or group meal.

User

Amazing place with amazing food and amazing people. We popped in without a reservation and even if they had most of the place privately reserved they finally gave us a table. The food was so good and so much that we couldnt eat all of it. It's the best greek food I had in London by far and I know what I m saying. Everything is traditionally served, same like in Greece. Of course, at the end we were delighted with a traditional liquer from the house. I will definitely be there every time I get the chance. People are also very nice, genuine friendly

Although I live next door to another well-known Greek restaurant in NW1, for me there is only Andy's.

The Greeks come here to have food as it is at home and they go nowhere else.

I go nowhere else because it's my favourite restaurant in London. For food and experience, it's the best.

Last night, the vegetarian plate and some extras (gigandes plaki! dolmades!) were delicious, and its owner Petros Ochtaras and his team were everything generous and kind - and so much fun!

Thank you! See you soon!

User

Absolutely amazing customer experience! Great food and good prices too! Very nice staff who make you feel at home! We will be back soon!

User

Place a bit small and hot but because of the lovely food and great service that can be overlooked.

User

We ordered deliveroo last night. Our order was incorrect in places. I tried calling but nobody picked up the phone! Only one dish was worth mentioning: the grilled salmon was delicious, rest of order was OK or incorrect - shame as we've eaten in the restaurant before and it was nice, hence ordering deliveroo. Very disappointed, it's local to me but I won't rush back
