Angels Tea Rooms

Today is a gin and tonic kind of day, with a cream tea twist of course! The Wrecking Coast Distillery clotted cream gin is distilled from clotted cream and served with a Frever Tree tonic.

The sun is shining and the garden is in full bloom at Angels Tea Rooms. We have 2 scone specials today - banana, coconut and a tipple, or cherry, white chocolate and coconut, both will transport you to somewhere as exotic as our view looks!

Today's batch of freshly baked scones at Angels Tea Rooms includes creamy extra mature cheddar from Devon's own Taw Valley Creamery. Enjoy with Dartmoor Brewery Jail Ale chutney from Devon's Hogs bottom garden delights and a bottle of local Hunt's Cider. A true West Country treat. 😇

Our straws are green in more ways than one. We've ditched the plastic straws here at Angels Tea Rooms and are now using more eco friendly biodegradable paper straws.

Dear customers. We are very sorry, but due to a shortage of kitchen staff we have taken the decision that we will be closed this Saturday 19th May for the whole day. We will reopen at 9am on Sunday 20th May as usual. Apologies for any inconvenience. Mike, Sarah and the Angels team 😇

At Angels Tea Rooms we pride ourselves on using local produce and suppliers such as these ciders and apple juice from Hunt's Cider. A perfect refreshing accompaniment to a cream tea on sunny day.

The "mini beast" has just brought a light dusting of snow to Babbacombe today. At Angels Tea Rooms we have the heating on and the marshmallows ready for the hot chocolates! Why not share your snow photos below?!

We were recommended this tea room by several friends whilst on holiday this week & it did not disappoint!



We arrived at a fabulous location overlooking some gorgeous views of Torquay with a beautiful tea room inside and absolutely thriving with smiling customers - a great start!



Despite there being several large tables of parties, we were instantly greeted with a smile, seated and handed menus. The food all looked, smelt & sounded amazing and we finally decided on two full Devon cream teas and a fresh strawberry milkshake for our little girl.



As everything was fresh & homemade we expected a little wait but didn't take too long, just enough time to take in the surroundings - & check out all the gorgeous looking cakes on display!



Our cream teas were nothing short of amazing & beautifully presented - and the milkshake was a massive hit too!



Our servers were welcoming, friendly & very attentive. Angels really couldn't come any more recommended.. We will be back!

We had an amazing breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice. Staff very friendly, see you all soon. Thank you ���

Very nice and a lot of choices to make when choosing from the menu. Highly rated delicious food and a view to match. 5 *****

This was my second visit�love everything about the place the setting is lovely,so much choice on the menu and very welcoming to children too!We had the Prosecco afternoon tea everything was delicious will be back again with my hubby in the summer�

One of my favourite places in the world and it's great introducing someone new to the delights of the Angels Tea Room. Food as always amazing big thumbs up for the cooked breakfasts. Staff so very friendly, even asking for directions they couldn't be more helpful. It always seems to be a lovely day whenever I come here.

My sister came to stay for the w/e so we went there for late breakfast. It was absolutely lovely, food was great, didn’t fell like we had to hush nice and relaxing.

Lovely way to round off 2017-friendly service and staff that were happy to help! Busy but from ordering to being served was quite quick. Beautifully decorated for Christmas too! Extensive choice-we went for the very lovely cream tea and cinnamon toast-warm and tasty!!👍🏻 Can’t wait to return!

It was a very special occasion as it was our Golden Wedding Anniversary. Our daughter Helen had asked around her friends for recommendations for Afternoon Tea.Angels seemed to come out on top and so it proved. We were looked after extremely well. Everything was delicious! Will recommend to everyone I know. Thank you very much!

I was very impressed with Angels Tea Rooms. The sandwiches were door stop thick, there was plenty to eat, it was all perfectly prepared, presented and looked and tasted delicious. A real treat for my birthday

I have been many times and always great food and service. Their lemon drizzle cake is too die for as are their homemade scones and jam. ���

Had the Cherub Tea for two. Absolutely delicious. I had ginger scone with ginger jam and cream. Thought I'd died and gone to heaven - fabulous.

Came here this morning with my boyfriend and the service was lovely! They also had lots of vegan options which made eating here so much easier, definitely recommend � (the scones are amazing)

Been here a few times, every time has been lovely!! Staff friendly and really helpful! Angels full tea was sooo good! Can't wait to come back! � � �

Angels Tea Rooms is a wonderful place. The food amazing, whether you have a hot meal or the sandwich/cake/scones teas. The view is a free addition and to sit in the sun - is remarkable. Another advert for he Tea Rooms is the fact that when we went it was full. Definitely by paying another visit.

Amazing and wonderful place. Enjoying cream tea with freshly baked scones and the picturesque views of the blue sea, in a quiet atmosphere is something very unique and special about this place. Not to forget the staff is very efficient, helpful and friendly. Worth visiting again and again.

We were recommended to go whilst in the area on holiday I was advised to book , which I actually took as a good sign, it's popular , they couldn't fit us in until few days later , that was ok, explained we had a dog , that was ok as well , we got there early very excited and was offered a table outside luckily the weather was good, but the court yard a little disappointing , dirty grubby . It took ages to be serviced we ordered a high tea £21 ,when it arrived I have to say , it was the best I've ever had! Amazing !! Sadly we waited so long to pay it took the thrill out of the experience . I would however go again should I ever visit the area but would like to sit inside to see what the ambience is like.

Fabulous morning with my friends for Christmas. We had booked ahead (always advisable), and as always the food was gorgeous and the service we received was excellant. Didn’t have to wait very long even though it was very busy. They are also, always very accommodating to the gluten free people amongst us! As yet, I have never had a bad time there.

Came here for a birthday treat with friends. Have been before and it was excellent. However, the service doesn't seem to be the same. Lots of staff hovering around but don't seem very attentive to customers. The environment calls for much more customer interaction and smiling faces which were sadly lacking. Sitting by the toilet we were regularly showered with water as people came out shaking water off their hands. We had afternoon tea. I asked for extra cucumber in my sandwich and didn't get any. The cake came a long time after the rest of the food. We had to ask for extra clotted cream as only had one tiny pot for three huge scones, should have been one each. Even then the member of staff forgot our request so we had to prompt. Overall the place and food are fantastic but the staff did not live up to expectations. I hope things have improved for my next visit.
