Here for Britstop. Great pub, friendly and very helpful staff. Lovely meal last night and Sunday lunch today. Well worth a visit and there's loads to do in the area. Will definitely be back.

Fantastic pub the staff went above and beyond to see that we were accommodate nothing was a bother for them cant put into words how good they were made our hoilday pergect.food was gorgeous atmosphere cosy prices very good for the quality. Highly recommend

It is so lovely and quite

It's very local-ly. No heating except in the bar, disabled toilet being renovated (supposedly but no evidence of actual work), crowd of smokers in the entrance. Sign saying dogs only on leads but leadless dog running round - the owner's apparently. Loud MTV and lots of drunk locals early on a Thursday evening. Reasonable beer and whisky - but a distinctly "provincial" pub, built in 1982 as ex miners'/ foresters working mens club. Any port in a storm I guess, and relatively wheelchair accessible, but would recommend the Black Grouse or the Pheasant.

Stayed here over new year period in our motorhome, very friendly, good food, reasonably priced, will definitely visit again
