**NEW COMPLEX CARP RECORD 50!!**
What a day!! We are absolutely over the moon for Ryan Owen who has landed a new Carp Complex Record from Nirvana’s Kracking Carp Lake at 53lbs 4oz!! The Mirror known as Silverback was caught by Steve Elsbury back in April at 53lb 2oz, but now Ryan holds the Record for the Complex’s biggest Carp ever to be caught!!
Ryan caught the Kracking Mirror on mutiny boilies tipped with plastic yellow pop up corn over a bed of hemp, corn and maggots. Zygg...y went down with a bottle of bubbly to celebrate the new record and Ryan gladly got in the water to have a sip or 2!!
Ryan said – “I’m so happy, it was my girlfriend who bought me this...3 nights at Anglers Paradise for my birthday present so I'm made up, all thanks to my mate Paul Stewart for persuading her to do it!!”
The current record Carp to be caught from Devon was from Emperor at over 54lbs known as Smirk which is sadly no longer alive which makes Silver Back at 53lb 4oz as the NEW’ LIVING’ COUNTY RECORD as far as we know, but please correct if I am wrong!!

Ricky Perrett from Plymouth had a great week’s fishing recently with his Daughter and Nephew catching a variety of Catfish, Koi and a 19lb Common and 19lb Mirror from Eldorado’s Bottom Cat and Carp Lake 2.
Ricky caught the fish on a simple hair rig snowman style, with nutty boilie from cherry carp & topped with sticky Manila 12mm pop up over bed of freebies.

MAKING MEMORIES AND CATCHING CATS AT ELDORADO...
Father and Son time, you can’t beat it! John Deprieelle brought his 3 year old Son Dylan to Anglers Eldorado, they had lots of fun and caught plenty of fish including this 34lb Wels Catfish being the biggest from the Bottom Cat and Carp Lake 2.

... 'Mission accomplished. After chasing down a single Catfish locally and failing, I promised Dylan a last roll of the dice to get one before summer passed by. I took him to Anglers Eldorado and the session went a treat.
Loads of laughs, 5 attempts at wild poo's, a trip to Zyg’s Bar to show him all the weird creatures, a family of scousers who let him attempt a poo in their accommodation, adventure playgrounds, hide and seek, pretend Catfish fishing with me as the fish, collecting bugs, bat watching and bedtime sing along.
Oh and 4 double figure carp and two cats, this 34lber being the biggest. One very happy 3 year old and a Dad who couldn't be more content.’

The Koi we all know and love, is SIMON…’The only Koi’ in the Specimen Tench and Orfe Lake, he gets seen often but doesn’t like to be caught often!!
Charlie Jones was one of the lucky few to have caught him at a weight of 13lbs 10oz making it a new personal best for him!

**CATS GALORE ON THE SPECIMEN CAT LAKE**
Andrew Murchison and Ed Hawes fished Nirvana’s Specimen Cat Lake in search of some big Cats and that they certainly did! Andrew caught a PB 61lb Cat and another three at 55lbs, 48lbs and 43lbs and Ed had a Kitty at 34lbs.
Here’s their Story -
... 'So it was that time for our annual catfish hunting trip, something that we have be doing for a few years now. We set off from home early doors in order to get to the Specie Cat Lake as soon as we could for a two night session. My current PB was from this lake so I knew there were some monsters in there, it was just if they were going to be playing on our short trip.
We arrived early morning and there were already three people on the lake that had done the previous night, the signs were not good as they had not had any fish during the last day or night, then speaking to Ash on his rounds there had not been much happening for the last two weeks.
Given that it had been so hot in the day we setup with little hope of anything until that night, but an hour and half into and whilst still setting up the bivvy there was a screaming take. At first I thought it must be a carp due to the nature of the run, but it turned out to be a 55lb Catfish! Exactly my PB again, more than I could have expected in the whole trip.
We do like to name all the fish that we catch, this one was easy, “scar face” as it had quite clearly been in the wars, probably spawning as it had abrasion all over its body, tail and a good sized gash in the top flank. A real bruiser of a cat!
Ed got in on the action pulling out a 34lb one, “kitty” who despite been smaller in stature than the others that had come up, it certainly put up an excellent representation of itself.
That following night I had a 43lb (One whisker) and a 48lb who we named “Ryan” as he decided as a special gift to me, he would release his bowls all over me! I was covered, foot, hand, clothes the lot, it really Shatwell! If you ever wondered what catfish poop smells like…it is not good!
On the last night I was awoken to my reel melting off line, hitting into it I knew it was one of the bigger residents of the lake and after a very spirited and tiring fight a 61lb cat was on the bank, the new pb was done. Yet again the specimen cat lake has come up trumps for us, just showing that even if the weather is adverse or people tell you that a lake isn’t fishing, it can still produce!’

... “After 3 years of trying for a fish on the Main Carp Lake, I finally caught this beauty, a new PB of 26lbs!!
I fished tight up against the lilies using an IQD Rig with a Mainline Essential Cell Wafter and spodded over the top with Monster particle hemp and maize mix.
My 37lb 10oz new PB Catfish was caught on Paradise Baits Pink Stink 30mm dumbbell fished with a stinky pop up!”

Ben’s Story -
... “My cousin and I booked for 2 nights on the Specimen Carp Lake. We woke up very early to get the best pick of the swims. We chose a tight spot full of lilies to position our rods where we saw signs of fish showing.
My cousin started off the session well with 18lb & 19lb mirrors while I seemed to be catching small carp after small carp.
The swim quieted down at about midday, I continued to bait up little & often on boilies matching my hook bait of a 20mm Baitworks Royal Marine hard hook bait which I had back leaded down and cast close to the lilies. After an hour, my right hand rod was away with a hard long fight with me trying to keep it from snagging in the lilies.
Once landed, I realised it was my new UK PB at 27llb 2oz, a stunning Linear Mirror Carp!
I was so pleased with this and my learning from Korda Carp Academy has seemed to paid off as it’s my 4th 20 this week (the 3 others were from Main Lake).”

... “My first time at Anglers Paradise and I was fishing on the Main Carp Lake on Monday the 13th of August 2018, I was using two 15mm squid and octopus boilies hair rigged with size 4 barbless hook .
I had been there since 7.30am, it was quiet until about 2pm when my right hand rod screamed off and straight away I knew it was something big by the way it was fighting and taking line.
I could never of imagined it was going to be as big as it was after a bit of a struggle I managed to land a 67lb catfish with some help from a guy in the next swim who helped me net it and weight it and I can’t thank him enough!
I would like to thank Zyggy and his family for creating such a wonderful and friendly place to come and stay.”

... “My dad caught this immaculate mirror of 35lb 15oz from the Kracking Carp Lake on a balanced “The Link” wafter fished close to the lilies on a IQD rig.
The best part is that he thought I was messing with his alarms and when he heard me shouting at him from further down the bank he quickly jumped into action and carefully fought the monster through the tough lilies.
When it slipped over the net words couldn’t express his feelings he was knocked off his feet in unbelief. When the scales slammed round to 35.12 he almost passed out and the thought of catching a fish from such a tricky lake in just under 7 hours was amazing!”

Absolutely over the moon for this one!! Gillian Lowrie, 39 from Scotland decided to give Anglers Eldorado a go in search of a UK personal best and that she certainly did!! She only went and caught the biggest Cat of the year from the Bottom Cat and Carp Lake recorded this year at 40lbs 13oz!

**MAIN CARP LAKE SUCCESS FOR FATHER AND SONS**
Congratulations to Darren Nightingill and his two sons Tyler and Louie who had a very productive week of catches!
Within a 48 hour session they ended up with 21 runs between them, with several lost fish in the weed, they finished up with 16 fish on the bank smallest being 17lb.
... All fish were caught on a mixture of live system boilies and corn soaked in several liquids.
Darren caught his biggest at 24lb a pristine Common, Tyler had Mirrors of 21lb 10oz, 20lb 2oz and 19lb 14oz and a PB 58lb Cat, and Louie had Mirrors of 22lb 12oz, 21lb 8oz and 20lb 4oz!

been many times before but took a five year break and once again we're hooked. We are planning another trip next year. The holiday complex is high class. The surrounding area is beautiful. They even make 2000 gallons of wine every year for guests to drink. This is highly addictive and makes you want to come back or is it the amazing fishing on offer from 30 picturesque pools you can choose from. If you don't get your personal best here then you will have to go abroad. Totally recommend this for a great week of sport relaxation and pleasure

I'm not a Fisher myself hubby is but to sit at the lake wit him is fantastic the view is out of this world the whole establishment is fantastic every member of staff will go out of their way to help can not find a fault with this place. Love it so much here and its a great place to make memories x

We have made some fantastic friends at AP, Elaine and I look forward to our two weeks at AP every year and somehow the experience just gets better and better. The fishing is excellent, the villas and the venue are stunning, the Meet & Greet evening every Sunday is so special and the food evenings at spectacular. We have no plans to go elsewhere, why would we when we have found Paradise!

I Personally have a disability and EVERYTHING is done by the staff, JUST to make my holiday Easy to Handel and Most Enjoyable. They Give Me The Ability to Do Everything and Enjoy It!!!!!!

They have a Great ability for children to enjoy the day, from a lake that doesn’t allow children to be board with fishing (easy fishing beginners lake) to a play ground and pool.

What I thought was Really Amazing was the Easy Access lake with covering for when it rains, for people to fish, if they are in wheelchairs!!!

A place that’s Beautiful and will relax you that much, you actually can’t believe that your even in the U.K.

If you suffer from High blood pressure, like I used to with stress of work, then THIS IS THE PERFECT PLACE TO COME.

The Doctors WILL NOT believe their eyes, after you have spent a week plus’s here, You will look like a new person!!!!!

This Is The Third Time I’ve been Welcomed back here and even with the thousands of people that come here, they even remembered my name.

It’s Family Run and they make sure that you feel at home.

Just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday again. Fishing was excellent as usual and i managed a personal best koi of 6lb 12 oz aswell as a fish of a lifetime for me, a 22lb 2oz catfish. Just made it back home from a weekend at this truly awesome establishment. I really recommend Anglers Paradise for its character, location, facilities and fishery but most of all the HOSPITALITY!! It is out of this world. Joe, Zenia, Zyg and all the staff are incredibly welcoming. The genuine warmth that they offer anyone who visits will make you want to go back again and again. I can't wait to introduce all my friends to the one of a kind BAR.

Just got back from my first ever week at AP and despite the weather not being the best had an amazing time. This will not be my last visit.

We were made to feel welcome by Zyg and Zenia and all the staff at AP. The accommodation is spot on and the food was great and good value, very welcome after a hard day's fishing. The fishing is fantastic with lots of lakes and different fish to target.We had had a great week catching New species and PB's and we will definitely return.

Just cannot put into words what an amazing place AP is. Visit number 9 for us this year and every year is as good as the last. Welcoming staff, fantastic accommodation and those magic glasses....PHEW! Roll on year number 10 ��

A fabulous place to take the family as there is something for everyone with all the different lakes to fish and even if you don't fish there is loads to do, and friendly staff that all are willing to help when you ask them for help. and you are made to welcome and the hospitality is fantastic. it is truly paradise set in a beautiful part of the country seeing is believing.

Rude and arrogant telephone manner, After booked and paid for tickets realised no dogs were allowed which means I cannot go, so called to see if there was any chance of part or full refund or to change the date of booking. Simple reply 'NO' in a rude arrogant voice. Could of at least have said no sorry we don't give refunds. I wasn't expecting a refund anyway but thought no harm in asking. Will not be going to this fishery again was shocked at the rudeness.

Just spent the best weeks holiday at Anglers Paradise,what a fantastic place, beautiful surroundings ,lots of fish ,gorgeous food and exceptionally helpful staff ,great laugh with Richard in the tackle shop and Zenia in the bar what lovely people ,really enjoyed it with my Daughter Christine Hart Sadler and my Son in law John Sadler in Destiny Villa xxx

Just returned from a fantastic weeks holiday again. Fishing was excellent as usual and i managed a personal best koi of 6lb 12 oz aswell as a fish of a lifetime for me, a 22lb 2oz catfish. A big thank you to Zyg, Rose, Zenia and all the staff aswell as thanks to all the lovely people we met. Anyone who loves fishing should give it a go. Satisfaction guaranteed

Just made it back home from a weekend at this truly awesome establishment. I really recommend Anglers Paradise for its character, location, facilities and fishery but most of all the HOSPITALITY!! It is out of this world. Joe, Zenia, Zyg and all the staff are incredibly welcoming. The genuine warmth that they offer anyone who visits will make you want to go back again and again. I can't wait to introduce all my friends to the one of a kind BAR.

Just got back from my first ever week at AP and despite the weather not being the best had an amazing time. This will not be my last visit.

We were made to feel welcome by Zyg and Zenia and all the staff at AP. The accommodation is spot on and the food was great and good value, very welcome after a hard day's fishing. The fishing is fantastic with lots of lakes and different fish to target.We had had a great week catching New species and PB's and we will definitely return.

Just cannot put into words what an amazing place AP is. Visit number 9 for us this year and every year is as good as the last. Welcoming staff, fantastic accommodation and those magic glasses....PHEW! Roll on year number 10 ��

Friendly peacefull relaxing and fun in lovely Devon...fish all day then relax in the bar all types of angling catered for...pie night roast night curry night home cooked excellent food. Top quality accomadation. Nature galore. You will catch the fish of your dreams.

Brilliant venue with friendly and welcoming staff. Can't complain about a thing.

Anglers paradise is so beautiful and the family that run it are amazing when u go there u couldn’t ask for better people to spend a week or two with and the fishing here is great to I love this place so much., they make u feel like family u can’t go anywhere else and feel like that. A fabulous place to take the family as there is something for everyone with all the different lakes to fish and even if you don't fish there is loads to do, and friendly staff that all are willing to help when you ask them for help. and you are made to welcome and the hospitality is fantastic. it is truly paradise set in a beautiful part of the country seeing is believing.

Rude and arrogant telephone manner, After booked and paid for tickets realised no dogs were allowed which means I cannot go, so called to see if there was any chance of part or full refund or to change the date of booking. Simple reply 'NO' in a rude arrogant voice. Could of at least have said no sorry we don't give refunds. I wasn't expecting a refund anyway but thought no harm in asking. Will not be going to this fishery again was shocked at the rudeness.
