We have arrived in Normandy after a long night of traveling, the DUWK has arrived too after a minor repair yesterday so we are all set for the DDay celebrations and to take the Veterans out to the Mulberry Harbour [weather permitting on D Day. Harold

Due to a mechanical issue with the DUWK we will NOT be loading today as previously stated.

Here are some of the roses and wreaths we are taking to Normandy next week, we are loading them into the DUKW tomorrow afternoon between 1 and 2pm if anyone would like to come and see them, the DUKW will then get loaded onto the lorry to start its journey back to the Normandy beaches in time for D Day.

If any WW2 veterans who are unable to come back to Normandy would like to see the DUWK being loaded ready for its return trip for the D Day celebrations come along to the Motel at 1pm Saturday and receive a 75th D Day commemorative medalion. Also if anyone is going back to Normandy next week and would like to join us at Ranville , Bayeux or Omaha cemetaries and help with the rose laying please get in touch for timings

Does anyone have access to a freshwater lake or large pond with a launch ramp as Harold would like to test the Duck landing craft before taking it over to Normandy in a couple of weeks, if you do please let us know.

We now have just 8 seats left on the young persons coach to Normandy , we are taking a coach of young people to meet with Normandy veterans and lay 8500 red roses on the war graves. The subsidised trip costing £50 per person leaves on June 4th and returns on June 6th. We are now opening the remaining seats to any young person to join us , anyone who is under 16 will need to bring an adult to accompany them. This will be a trip never to be repeated meeting Normandy veterans on French soil. Come and join us for motorbike and wheels weekend on 17/18/19 May here at the motel . Entertainment for all ages £10 per couple for all three days , camping free inc caravans (electric hook up if required £5 per day) . Live bands and displays all weekend.
