Great staff always more than helpful and if climax don't have it then there is a good chance no one will. Their pole alley gives you a chance to compare loads of poles at once and get a proper feel of what you want for your money. All together the best tackle shop I've been to

Great customer service. Had a wrong Bedchair delivered in Denmark. Climax Tackle told me to keep it and resent the Bedchair I actually ordered a few days later. Can't recommend enough.

Need to do more training on post sales customer service. What's the point in offering to deliver replacement if you can't pick up the damaged product. I do not appreciate having to drive a 100 mile round trip to return the product and then to add insult to injury to be told we were just unlucky.....

5 stars for huge selection and prices, but unfortunately brought down to two stars for very slow delivery.



Webpage says 3 days for delivery. But 5 days went on and there is no shipment date yet.



The worst part is that they don’t keep one informed if a delay occurred, which can happen and is OK, aslong as customer is informed.



I will shop here again but very annoyed by this unreliable delivery.

we entered Bradley into the King of the Catch competition which is being run by Angling Direct. Firstly I would like to thank everyone that took the time to vote for Bradley, it meant so much to him. He was entered into the prince category which had a top prize of an all expenses paid trip to Thailand to fish the amazing Gillhams Fishing Resort. We worked very hard for Bradley to gain votes for this competition. Sharing to as many places as possible contacting everyone we know and asking them to share and it was paying off, Bradley was in 1st place and was over the moon! He got up every morning asking how many votes he had, he came home from school and wanted to check again as soon as he got through the door. He was so proud to be winning as you can imagine. Then out of nowhere Bradley's entry was removed from the competition. The link said he had broken rules. Bradley was completely gutted. All we had done was work extremely hard to share the competition as much as possible to get as many votes as we could. All the while doing this gaining publicity for Angling Direct. As you can imagine I was not happy! I contacted Angling Direct to ask them what was going on. I was told Bradley's entry had been removed as their "system" had detected votes by "bots"! I told them that we had done nothing like this all we had done was share as much as possible as they tell you to. They said there was nothing they could do. I therefore contacted Stuart Gillham, the owner of Gillhams Fishing Resort who had offered the prize to Angling Direct. I explained to him what had happened and he was fuming. He had meet Bradley on several occasions whilst we were fishing and was rooting for Bradley to do well in the competition. He told me to tell Angling Direct he was not happy and that they had better sort it out. I contacted Angling Direct again to tell them this and to let them know how upset Bradley was that his entry had been removed and they eventually reinstated his entry. However it had hundreds of votes removed and he had lost 4 days of gaining votes so he was down around 3rd or 4th place. We again started trying to get him votes but every time he gained some they were for some reason disappearing again. Angling Direct are clearly up to something with this competition. It seems this is not the first time this has happened either! Today I read a similar story from the girl who was in first place in the queen category. Angling Direct are happy enough for you to share, share, share to get them publicity but if you do too well they remove your entry. There is something not right with this, seems a bit corrupt to me! After Bradley's entry was reinstated but kept getting votes removed I told Angling Direct to remove the entry as I was disgusted with the way he had been treated. All the while, whilst this has happened Stuart Gillham has made the most amazingly kind gesture to Bradley. He has offered Bradley a fishing trip to Gillhams Fishing Resort to make up for the horrible way in which Bradley was treated by Angling Direct. I honestly can not thank him enough for this. Bradley is absolutely over the moon and we are both so, so grateful for this. I just hope that others that have had this happen to them with Angling Direct also make it public, so they can not get away with treating people like this. Please feel free to share this post to get as many people to see what an awful company they are. But also please share to show how amazing Gillhams Fishing Resort in Thailand is and how kind Stuart has been to Bradley. He can not wait to visit and hopefully catch some of the absolute monsters it has to offer!

The manner of the staff on the phone was a disgrace, i got a much better deal and service with a company that can be bothered to help someone spend their hard earned money.

Still waiting!!! Visited the angling direct Sheffield store over two weeks ago. I went and purchased 2 sets of Nash Siren alarms and 2 x receivers. I was also sold a Advanta bivvy by the salesman who went to get one from the back to find they had none left, even tho the stock system said it was in stock. I paid for the items in full and only left the shop with the alarms, in confidence that the other items would be there the following week and get a phone call to notify me. I phoned 7 days later to find that the Nash delivery hadn't shown up, and that the internal shop transfer system hadn't delivered the Bivvy either. I got promised the issue would be sorted, and be contacted as soon as my items turned up. Another 6 days came and went, I contacted the Sheffield store to be told the items still hadn't turned up, and that the member of staff who did the transaction will ring me an hour later once he arrived at work. 36 hours later I'm still without products and can't go fishing this weekend.
