Angry Policyholder was founded after a 3 year fight against Scottish Provident after they refused our founder, Chris Hargreaves' income protection claim.
The policy was based on work task definitions (can you hold a pen or lift 1kg of weight) which meant no matter how ill you were these policies would not pay out.
After a 'high profile' social media campaign, along appearances on the BBC and with over 60 articles in the national and trade press, UK insurers finally relented and stop selling IP with these useles definitions.
After the success of the 'work task' campaign we set up www. angrypolicyholders.com in 2013. During late 2013, Chris and Nicola decided to take a more investigative approach which resulted in Chris becoming a freelance investigative journalist.
Having recovered from our website being destroyed you can expect 2015 to be the year Angry Policyholders returns. And hopefully with a bang. . .
