We have had a few questions about work experience placements. We do offer work experience placements for level 3 and above (will except level 2 with interview) Animal care/management or dog grooming students.
However, we only have a limited number of placements, so please contact us ASAP if you are looking. We work regularly with Rotherham, Barnsley and Sheffield Colleges. Our placements are very hands on and you would get chance to work with a wide... range of exotic species and breeding programs.....and possibly help out educationally, with our travelling zoos.

The following animals are needing homes. These are either retirement animals or animals that we have rescued. We will check regarding suitability and housing.
We have already rescued and rehomed many animals this year and where possible we will carry on offering this service. But to do this we do ask for an adoption fee to cover expenses. We are a not-for-profit social enterprise, so all our money goes back into community projects and our animals!

We have several skinny pigs, some ready now, some in a few weeks.
These are bred by us and both mum and Dad can be seen. They are fed on the best Burgess Excel diet. £100 each or 2 for £180. Please remember skinnies MUST live with other skinnies or Guineas and MUST be kept indoors. £30 deposit to reserve.

Animal for rehoming/Adoption. Checks on appropriate housing and care will be made.

What an absolutely amazing morning. I had a party of mainly 4 year olds...energetic wriggle bottom 4 year olds. The lady doing the experience managed to keep them all so calm and did an amazing job explaining and being patient. They were all so keen to handle the animals and a lot of that was down to how relaxed she made it. Everyone loved it and apart from the soft Mum that had to run out when Thorn the turanchulla came to say hello! � thank you so much. I can see us becoming regulars to your animal encounters. Sorry again for the mess that cake made �

We went to an animal handling session yesterday and the kids loved it and haven't stop talking about it, the lady was very informative and all the animals were so cute and didn't mind been passed around. I would definately recommend this to anyone the £5 a child we paid was well worth it I was really surprised how many animal they got to hold in the hour!!! Thankyou so much we will definately be visiting again.

We went to a Animal Handling session today and it was absolutely brilliant. Leanne was lovely and really encouraged the children to touch/hold the animals but knew when to just let them look instead. It lasted an hour and we got to meet many different animals. I would highly recommend it would love to go again

We managed to book a meerkats experience couple weeks ago for my meerkat mad little boy and it was amazing. As my lad is autistic they were really friendly and patient with all his questions and just made me so happy seeing my boy interact with the ace meerkats thanks so much I am sure we will be back in the future!!!!

We brought my. 2 yr old niece to animal handling session and she loved it she got to meet so many animals her favorite being the owl.the animal handler was patient and very informative we thoroughly enjoyed it and was well worth the money and i will recommended you to everyone .Thank you so much.

We brought my animal mad son today for the handling experience and he was over the moon to be able to hold a snake. The lady showing the animals was really lovely, nothing was too much trouble and she made sure that each child there was brought their choice of animal to stroke and/or hold. My son was so enthralled with being able to get up close and personal with his favourite reptiles that we booked his birthday party there and then! Also, because we are thinking of getting him a pet snake later this year, after the handling experience was finished the lady then let him have a look at, and hold, a couple of corn snakes. Very impressed, a big thumbs up from the Scott family. Thank you :)

We booked a party for 10 children for my son's 6th birthday. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and helpful. The party was hosted by Vicky (?), who was very knowledgeable and dealt with the 10 inquisitive guests in a very warm and professional way.



The children all seemed to have a great time, with many going back for a second stroke or hold of the animals.



The animals were all in excellent condition and seemed to be very well looked after, and they were all comfortable with the kids.



Thank you so much for the lovely experience. I'm sure they'll remember this for a long time, especially the chameleon climbing up onto Uncle Joe's head.



We will definitely recommend you in the future.

Two amazing ladies from the animal ark zoo came to our home for a family party. They were incredible!! The children aged from 1-9 all had a fabulous time. Each child had lots of time to hold and ask questions about the animals and the ladies taught the children lots about what the animals ate, where they came from and how to care for them. The adults too were able to hold and ask about each animal. Rango the chameleon and the barn owl we're the firm favourites. We would certainly recommend animal ark. Thank you ladies...memories to cherish xx

Today Vicki & Leanne came to visit us with some of their animals at the Home for Older People that I work at. The residents had such a great time, meeting and greeting the different animals, some of them were even brave enough to have a hold. The smiles on their faces said it all .... thank you again for coming to see us, we will definitely be arranging another visit.

My 2 children aged 3 and 9 and my nephew and niece aged 1 and 3, absolutely loved this session today. An hour of intimate, basic information sharing and handling of 13 different animals and reptiles. They were all captivated, interested and excited and the lady leading the session was great with the kids too. Such a good price too! Can't wait to go back!

I received an hour exotic animal exoerience for my birthday. The staff members were lovely and made us feel very welcome. There was a wide variety of animals to see and we were told lots of information about each of them. I would definitely recommend the animal ark, the animal experiences make great presents for animal lovers!

I brought my 9 year old daughter and my son for an hour long animal encounter today, It was an amazing experience.

Staff were all friendly and knowledgeable about the animals and the animals were truly the stars of the show.

My daughter has talked about the animals she met today and is planning her next visit to meet the rest .

Leanne (the animal handler) was fantastic with my girls as they are very worried around animals but she was patient and encouraged them so they managed to hold or touch most of them that were shown! Would definitely recommend, fab little afternoon out.

They loved meeting the animals, holding them and learning about them. Would highly recommend and we will defiantly be back to meet some of the other animals we didn’t meet this time. �

Came today with our three kids Vicky was brilliant knowledgeable and friendly. All of the animals looked happy healthy and well cared for. Doris the Duprasi and Buddy the opossum were the favourites. We will definitely be back after our wonder morning �

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Merlin was the star of the day handing out cuddles � and what a character milo is.. into everything haha. We will defo be back. Was great to see the snakes feeding too. A fantastic place to visit. And our family and friends will be booking in soon as they were all buzzing about it too. Thanks to all staff for being informative and friendly. Highly recommened 5☆
