Animal Encounters - Just Snakes

Many people still know so little about snakes; they are misunderstood. It's my passion to educate people about them and help people over their fears.

I'm known as Snakey Sue because I started rescuing unwanted pet snakes in 1996 and to create funding to care for them I began taking them out on educational encounters to childrens parties, scouting groups, schools, special needs, team building, care homes, fetes, fundays, TV spots, Theatre etc. there are usually 50 snakes living in the snake sanctuary. I am an equity member which covers my public liability and hold a performing animals licence.
Since I began this project many mobile zoos have popped up but I believe there is a lot to learn about one type of creature and reptiles are so very different to mammals. My educational program is all I have learned since 1996 about SNAKES. Since I was a litte girl I have loved all animals, but when snakes came into my life I realised how misunderstood they are and how little knowledge people have of them and how afraid people still are.
They are actually the most sensitive of beings and people are amazed that they are actually therapeutic to handle.
People can also come to the Snake Sanctuary for a phobia session.
