Animus Jewellery was founded in 2016 by Aaran Bosansko.
After nearly a decade of experience making jewellery from sterling silver and whitby jet for other jewellers I made the decision to make my own designs in my own workshop and finally put my own name to my work. I started making jewellery when I was 17 whilst studying an art and design foundation degree at Westwood College (Now Scarborough School of Arts). After living in London for 3 years to study Fine Art & History of Art at Goldsmiths College I returned to Whitby with a fresh view of aesthetics and 20th Century style, which I employ in my design of contemporary, fine crafted, jewellery.
I aspire to the highest standards, only using hallmarked 925 sterling silver and top quality Whitby Jet in my designs. I am keen on doing commissions and working with people to create something beautiful from an idea they have.
