Madhus is the UK’s most luxurious South Asian Catering company. It caters for over 400 events annually at most of the prestigious venues for the elite Asian wedding market and corporate market. Having been bought up in a kitchen Poonam learnt all the family recipes from both her fa...ther “Madhu” (the business is named after the legendary chef form Kenya) and her mother Krishna. Her passion for food and cooking led her back into the kitchen even after studying law. She started her career in legal advising followed by a post as Asian community development officer for Turning Point and helped Asian women access health services. She took on a role as senior counsellor and specialised in drug and alcohol addiction in the Asian community. Her brother Sanjay asked her to join the family business full time and head the sales team. Being versatile she leads all marketing projects and pitching for the award winning catering business but her strength is definitely in the kitchen. She claims to be happiest in a kitchen, cooking food with love is her motto, something that she promotes on her show Spice Up on Sony TV. As one a rare breed of Asian female chefs, Poonam is the only one that has the heritage, knowledge and experience to cater exceptional food for large banquets. She has catered at most esteemed venues and locations and has cooked for various celebrities, heads of state and royalty. She has lead her award winning team to cater both at Windsor castle and now twice at Buckingham Palace for HRH Prince Charles. We commend her passion for perfectly presented culinary dishes. .
