Ann is almost ready to set off home! While out in Senegal 1411 people have been seen and 1347 pairs of specs 🤓 given out from 10 clinics!! Isn't that amazing?

Well I’m all packed up and ready to go to Senegal on Tuesday morning. Just want to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to all my lovely patients and staff who have donated nearly £700! This will pay for most of transport for the team whilst we're away ... taxis and big canoes will be used as some of the villages we visit are more accessible by water than road.
I will be back in work on Friday 14th Feb but in the meantime my wonderful and experienced team can easily deal with all your eye care needs without me .. it’s business as usual in Cleator Moor!

Ann is off to Senegal on 26th January and this is what her test room will look like for those 2 weeks. The bags at the back are all the glasses that have been donated and will be given out there. Last year she had taken 1200 pairs and all of them were given out. They even ran out of glasses! The chickens supervised the queue to make sure no one pushed in and kept the 'pecking' order! We all wish her good luck and if anyone would like to make a donation we have a collection tin in the shop which will go towards repairing local taxi canoes. Thank you
