Portfolio piece posting day 2:
Met a lovely new client who represents some great artists, and it's been really good fun to write about music again. Food and music - two of the most complicated aspects of culture to explain through words - we experience these things so viscerally, through our physical as much as our mental selves. Makes it super fun to try and encapsulate those rich bodily sensations with words.
Myomi are an amazing new supergroup project by the guys behind Mutiny UK - really fun dance music-influenced big band stuff. The MJ Cole remix of their track 'Sun in your Eyes' is so upbeat and moving, I had it on repeat about 20 times in a row while I was in the flow writing this bio.

I've realised I don't post enough work from my portfolio, so I'm going to do one a day this week because a) my clients are lovely and b) it's my 30th this weekend y'all.
Of all the writing briefs I've been given this year, writing my first ever voiceover script for Addidi Wealth was the most challenging, and fun. I worked with film production company The Mono Grande to write this voiceover script for Addidi's film 'The Voice of Women's Wealth' - embodying their vision of inc...reasing and harnessing the rising wealth generated and controlled by women, and empowering their clients to do good for our world. My wonderful friend Tamaryn Payne nailed VO delivery too.
Addidi Wealth are a wealth management company dedicated to helping self-made women invest their wealth ethically, question what wealth really means, and ponder how one can truly 'enjoy' the wealth accumulated through business and playing the investment game. It was a breath of absolute fresh air to work with a financial industry service with authenticity, purpose, and incredibly noble brand values right at their core.

1) Artist biographies 2) Copywriting (anything your customers read that sells your company in perfect, persuasive English) 3) Proposals (just got this anonymous feedback on a charity proposal - "Sounds very good. Strong copywriting here! Genuinely think this strikes very good balance for what you want - rare to see. Whoever wrote this did good.") ... 4) Event descriptions 5) Awkward break up emails - true story.
