Annabel Giraud-Telme is a French /British fashion designer and maker with infectious energy, striving for a more beautiful world. A fashion designer obsessed with quality: from traditional tailoring and couture techniques, to artisan materials and luxury design. Clothing fit for a modern lifestyle with a social consciousness. Annabel was taught by Alan Norris and Eva Blonskë, master tailor and seamstress to HRH Queen Elizabeth II and graduated from Fashion Atelier BA (Hons) at the University of the Creative Arts, Rochester, Kent. During university, Annabel curated an Emerging Artists exhibition at the Landmarks Art Centre, Richmond which led to customers commissioning bespoke pieces. Through this, Annabel came to understand that clients crave clothing that embrace their lifestyle values as much as their physical form. Annabel's unisex signature style and ethos emerged: timeless pieces, playfully designed for a modern lifestyle. 'Play' – Annabel's graduate collection was featured on Vogue.com (Looks 25-29), Glamour.com, The Business of Fashion, Graduate Fashion Week and at the Royal Academy (Looks 12-17). Since graduating, Annabel has been creating bespoke one off commissions for private clients- everything from men's suits and shirts to bridal gowns and even childrenswear. Having accumulated over ten years of industry experience including Hardy Amies and Richard Anderson of Savile Row, Hussein Chalayan, Jonathan Saunders and KTZ, Annabel realised that like these amazing tailors /designers before, she could develop her own business but, with a social enterprise heart and environmentally /socially responsible values. The big vision is to create a self-sustainable, ethically responsible fashion house that delivers free creative schooling for the most vulnerable people in our society. We want to empower them with a skills based trade, which can then be applied throughout life.
