Today enjoyed an interesting workshop on dance, music and mudras from Tibetian Monks at Square Chapel Arts Centre in Halifax. Here is a musical instrument called "Dungchen " which is long trumpet or horn used in Tibetian Buddhist ceremonies- the sound is compared to the singing of elephants.
Tonight greatly looking forward to watching their "The Power of Compassion’ show which presents chant, mantras, music and dance by eight Tibetan Monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery and promises to open a magical window on to the world of reincarnation and Buddhist mysticism. Thank you Square Chapel Arts Centre for bringing such amazing shows and workshops right at our doorstep in Halifax .
