Anna'S Cakes

I’m not gonna lie, I love this cake! I even made the bunting 😁! The idea is that the top tier could be taken off at first stage of the party without spoiling the bottom tier so that the bottom one could be used for the evening - move the cloudy things & bunting & all should be well! Hope that it worked!!

Two cakes have been collected this morning, loved them both - this is the one which I know the birthday girl has seen (she came too to collect!). Sooooooo much chocolate cake & icing!!

Well, I got to 150 likes and to celebrate the Kitchen Aid decided to give up on itself....! Cue frantic searches on YouTube for ways to fix it.... and deals on new ones just in case.... (Sad music provided by eldest son for full dramatic effect!)

I did say bespoke cakes! This is for a (Cheltenham) horse racing, beer loving, Worcester Warriors rugby fan. Think I’ve covered it!

Just been collected by Lucy - a Burundi flag cake for her school charity day tomorrow - raffle prize! 😬😁 Fab cause, raising money to buy text books, toilets and an electricity supply! Hope it goes well - especially the kids ‘walking to Burundi’!!

Cake from this weekend! Teletubby a special request for the birthday boy from is mum!! Im not user to doing figures, so I was quite pleased with Laa Laa!

Red Velvet cake - it’s very tall! I do cakes just for eating too! (Non occasion / less fancy decoration?!)

Now I know the birthday girl has had a cheeky peek at both cakes I can post this one too! I’m really pleased with my White Rabbit!!

Another Little Mermaid cake!! Two cakes have just been collected - the second one I’ll put up tomorrow after the birthday girl will have seen it so as not to spoil the surprise, just in case! I enjoyed the two in spite of the heat which provides extra challenges of setting & air pockets! Now for some more baking for an afternoon tea!!!

I say survived the Liverpool house... Jon did try & squish it with a jam pan (it was on the box / lid but still.... 🤦🏻‍♀️😱😭)

Back on it this week! Another football team to add to repertoire / just about survived the Liverpool house...

Cake on a Monday!

Two cakes this week - one very much stuck to the Pinterest original (quite pleased with my mermaid - just in case you didn’t get it!), and one took an idea & ran with it! (I didn’t even intend that pun!!!!)

After learning some slightly painful lessons in architecture, the towering cake looked lovely in its venue... you can see why I was practising the ombré effect now!

These are about to become one cake! 😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬

No cake this week (I’m making roses ready for next week!), so I thought an album of football themed cakes would be nice... guess which team the family support?! (Although even some of the non family are the same team!)

Now I know the birthday girl has seen her cake (I’ve been sent reaction photos as she came in & saw the amazing spread they’d done for her!), I can post my photo - you can see why I needed my little bowls!! Love doing the unicorns!

OK I'm biased as I'm married to her, but Anna produces some of the tastiest cakes I've ever sampled. I have been a first hand witness to her production of Wedding Cakes, Birthday Cakes, Celebration Cakes and of course amazing cupcakes. I have a colleague who is gluten-intolerant and he has said that Anna's gluten free brownies are the best he's ever tasted.

Beautiful imaginative cakes that taste yum! Being rather challenged in the baking department means I have to outsource the making of birthday cakes for my children and Anna has made 4 for me now, all of which have been brilliant! Does help she is well versed in cakes of the football variety too!

Anna made our dreams of an ombré wedding cake tower come true. Complete with graduated colour icing in shades of pink and cream and beautiful white edible roses. As if this wasn’t complicated enough we requested a chocolate layer, a vanilla layer and a gluten free top layer! Apparently it was one of the most challenging cakes architecturally she has done but she delivered on the brief like a true professional. It looked beautiful on the day matching everything else in our colour scheme and of course the cake was super yummy!
