After weeks and weeks of relentless rain, we are incredibly fortunate to have two all-weather facilities, so not only are the horses exercised on a safe surface but they also receive a varied routine.

Nothing could dampen our enthusiasm jumping this guy yesterday, not even the torrential rain.
With a new set of show jumps from JP Equestrian Pro Ltd having arrived at Hyde Lodge Horses just 24 hours earlier we couldn’t think of anywhere we’d rather have gone for a play. And they didn’t disappoint; big, bold and bright. The new arena is superb too with an incredible surface.
No matter what size fence you put in front of this chap he just saunters up and pops over. He makes i...t all feel very easy. He absolutely loves his job and always comes home very content.

During October we had the pleasure of 12.2hh Sonny staying with us on full ridden livery. Sonny was having the most fabulous time autumn hunting with his junior jockey but needed reminding that not every day was a hunting day (much to his disappointment!!).
During Sonny’s stay his owner purchased a second horse who came straight to our yard after flying through his vetting. With very little knowledge of this horse’s previous experience we enjoyed getting to know him which in...cluded schooling, hacking and general fitness work.
Both boys were an absolute delight and it was a sad day when the time came for them to return home although living very local to us we are fortunate that our paths continue to cross on a regular basis. #BespokeLiveryLincolnshire

We were delighted to welcome this gorgeous boy back today.
Over the last 18 months, we’ve had so many fun adventures with him including storming round the BE100 XC on his final start of the 2019 British Eventing season. He is a very happy horse who enjoys the finer things in life and being completely and utterly pampered. #BespokeLiveryLincolnshire

This little guy is showing no signs of slowing up despite his 20th birthday fast approaching.
With 159 British Eventing starts over the last 16 seasons to his name, including jumping double clear at every national level up to Advanced, he still comes out the start box shaking his head and eager to get on with the job in hand.
He has the biggest personality and loves nothing more than getting in the horsebox and going on adventures with venues where there are stately homes a...nd huge crowds being his preferred places.
Over the next couple of months, he’ll be kept busy on the showjumping and dressage circuit and will start his 2020 Eventing campaign when the ground is lightning fast, just the way he likes it.
They threw away the mold after they made Syd which is a huge shame as a more honest, comical, genuine horse you could not wish to meet.

We first met this chap in October 2014 when he was just two-years-old. Our association with him continued and when we relocated from Derbyshire to Lincolnshire in October 2017 Ollie’s owner/breeder kindly allowed him to relocate with us. This was a huge step for both of them, especially considering Ollie had never before left the place where he was born and Becky had never been apart from him for more than a few days.
Over the last two years Ollie has changed beyond all rec...ognition both physically and mentally. He gives his very best in all that you ask of him and has really excelled showjumping having recently qualified for the Blue Chip Winter Show Jumping Championships at Hartpury.
Ollie is learning all the time and thrives on repetition and praise. He will be kept busy over the winter months which in turn will keep his confidence high and accelerate his learning. He is a lovely young horse who puts a spring in our step and a smile on our face every day.

This handsome chap was just up the road in Nottinghamshire waiting for us to find him.
Back in the summer we were tasked with finding a new horse for one of our lovely ladies. We knew what she wanted but finding him wasn’t as easy as one might envisage. We worked our little socks off enquiring about and viewing horses then we met this guy and what a find he was. He ticked all the boxes and some. He’s been with us on Full Ridden Livery since early October and we have loved ev...ery minute of getting to know him. He has the kindest personality and loves nothing more than having a cuddle. Food, a huge haynet and a voluptuous bed are also high up on his list of priorities. #BespokeLiveryLincolnshire

The month of December is flying by probably in no small part to how busy we are.
Between the hunters and show jumpers we have in to educate and compete there’s no resting on our laurels. We also have a three-year-old Connemara in to break who is proving to have the kindest and most willing temperament you could possibly ask for. Working with youngsters is always especially rewarding and a part of our work which we enjoy the most. #BespokeLiveryLincolnshire

And breathe.... What a busy week we’ve had. Three early mornings on autumn hound exercise, five visits to ARENA UK SHOW Centre for the Major Show Jumping Championships (the venue is only five miles away so not as tiring as it sounds) and two horses viewed for a client with one being tried on autumn hound exercise tomorrow morning. He ticks every box and a few more so fingers and toes crossed he puts his best hoof forward tomorrow and then we’re onto the vetting stage. #VeryExcited And all the usual day-to-day duties at the yard and horses ridden. Bev, Suzie and Heather have been superb keeping everything running smoothly.
This coming week looks equally as busy but we wouldn’t have it any other way. #BespokeLiveryLincolnshire
