What a great new find. Just down the steps opposite the Nags Head on Abingdon Bridge is a brilliantly located café. After 10 miles on the Thames Path the tea and cake was a life-saver. Will be going back very soon.

Walked by there a couple of days ago and decided to go in yesterday

Breakfast bap and coffee was just right

Good selection of breakfasts and other food - cakes and bakes looked good too

And great location by the river where you can watch the boats and those canoeing go by

Service was great, location is perfect, food very enjoyable. If I had one comment it would be that I prefer my coffee slightly hotter. We will be back. Such friendly staff ���

Just got home after a fabulous afternoon tea with my mum and brother for mothers day. I'd managed to book the wrong Annie's but the guys at Abingdon were so lovely and fitted us in. Unlimited tea and coffee, plenty of fresh sandwiches, cakes & scones. Definitely worth a visit

Having dropped in to see what had been happening at the old chandlery, I was assaulted by charming ladies, tantalised by toasted tea cakes, and finally tempted by delicious cakes. I had a greedy moment and tried the lemon drizzle (lovely and zesty) and the carrot cake.

I feel like a school boy whose found the sweetie tin ..... You are my new guilty secret ...

A relatively new opening in Abingdon. If you are familiar with Annie's Tea Room at Thrupp, you will be aware of their high quality. If you're not, then you are very much in for a treat. Situated as they are on Nags Head Island, you can eat, drink and chat whilst watching the world go by on the River Thames to one side of the 'Boathouse', whilst from the other (more a backwater) you can regularly see the local Heron. The quality of the Menu is exceptional. Very (very) delicious cakes, and a fabulous team of young people who are an absolute delight to be served by. Not too far from the Town Centre, but in any event, well worth the extra few steps.

Surprised how busy it was on an uncertain end-of-September Saturday lunchtime and service was consequently slow, but good macaroni cheese (very cheesy, could have done with a little bacon or pancetta or something) and very good seedy bread

Lovely day to sit outside Annie's for coffee and a cheese scone. Very friendly staff, good coffee and scones very tasty. More sun umbrella's outside would be a welcome addition.

Fantastic visit to see Father Christmas on his beautiful boat complete with log fire and his elf helpers, with complimentary tea and home made minces back at Annie’s at the boat house, friendly staff and great food.
