Wow! You need to be really hungry to have ‘Andrews’ breakfast! Absolutely scrummy . Going back to try a cream tea soon!

User

What a lovely little place. Driven past it many times and said we must try that place. Well, glad we stopped today, probably the best cream tea we’ve had. Lovely, thanks, will be back

User

What a brilliant experience ! Lovely views, accessible parking. Highest standard decor, tables not cramped up against each other, all made for relaxing atmosphere which is light, airy, welcoming. Spotless hygene in both main area and personal facilities, which is always a key indicator, of course. Prompt service, excellent cream tea, could not fault it at all. Saw others enjoying various generous full meals so will be returning for those too. The bottom line? Excellent value for money, with the 16 mile distance from the centre of Chard easily offset by the quality of the experience. (On a Sunday one can also visit the Charmouth Open Air Market & Rousdon Boot sale, both quite a size, nearby). It is rare to find any venue which has paid such meticulous attention to every detail, so all that can be said is ... Well done Annie's !

Went for a late breakfast last week and went Andrew size and it was delicious and had that very content feeling after great food. I will be back to try the ploughmans and the savoury tea which I have heard good things about. These are the places that keep Dorset fabulous to live in so keep using them people, you don't have to be a tourist.

User

We stopped here for breakfast. The coffee was good and very hot as requested. The food we had was very tasty (buttered toast and a rock cake with butter! Delicious) and the place is super. The owners were friendly and we will definitely call again. We even had a slice of apple cake to take away for later. That too was delicious. Thank you! We have our own coffee shop, Serendipity Coffee, Cross Street, Seaton so are very interested in trying other places.

User

We really enjoyed our pot of tea, lunch and coffee today. The soup and fresh bread was delicious - compliments to the chef! It was lovely to have generous measures of tea and coffee served in such cheerful crockery. It was our first visit but certainly not our last! Thank you.

User

Very relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, light and airy. Happy to accommodate dairy allergies too. I had a huge jacket potato with tuna mayo, followed by yummy ice cream with a small dish of hundreds and thousands to add yourself if wanted. We had twins in our party, high chairs available and nothing was too much trouble.

Thought I'd have a break from the heavy traffic and try Annie's Tea Rooms which I had noticed each time I passed. Had a lovely bacon sandwich- full of really tasty bacon and one of the best cappuccinos ever: it was hot, large and delicious. Won't wait for heavy traffic before returning, probably have to try the cream tea!

User

Stopped off here both yesterday and today. Food was lovely on both visits, staff very welcoming and friendly. Our dog Max enjoyed his treats as well.

User

One of the best cream teas I have ever had (and I've tried a lot)! The scones were deliciously light and the amount of clotted cream served alongside was more than enough even for us!

We will definitely be visiting again!

User

Lovely place to stop on route. Couple were really friendly and made a cracking sandwich! We will be sure to stop here again very soon and so should you if you are reading this!

I had often passed the tea rooms and thought, I must pop in sometime. So, me and my daughter went and had lunch there. I had a cream tea for one, the scones were amazing and the clotted cream was heavenly. My daughter had a sandwich and salad. The staff are so lovely and friendly. The place itself is spotless, no worry of dirty tables here. The service is wonderful. The decor is so nice and welcoming. The food is great and of a high standard. A lovely place to visit. Very cosy too with the fire lit. Definately will be visiting again.

User

First visit today.

Excellent food. Excellent service.

Wonderful atmosphere.

Highly recommend to all.

Finally stopped in yesterday after driving past a million times and what a great little place. The staff were ever so friendly and welcoming and came straight over with water and treats for the dog. The food was amazing, the biggest Cheddar Ploughman’s I’ve ever seen! Can’t wait to pop back later in the week and try the cream tea! Do yourself a favour and pop in and try this amazing place!

User

Cream tea for 2 for just £8 -

2 locally made scones (plain or fruit), choice of jam (strawberry, raspberry or blackcurrant) clotted cream and a pot of tea

It was absolutely delicious :)

Definitely well worth a visit, fab decor and the owners are lovely too

You can't ask for much more than that!

User

Cracking place! Walked in and wasn't feeling the best from the night before. Greeted with a smile and was allowed to order off menu! What we received was sheer pleasure on a plate!! We both left feeling we had just uncovered possibly the best tea room on the south coast. Thanks for making us feel so welcome.

User

Called in on our way back to Lyme where we live. Passed the place so many times and finally called in.

What a wonderful place. Cream teas, cheese sandwiches and strawberry ice cream were fantastic.

Lovely people running the place.

I would advise everyone one to call in.

User
