Summer is coming - but how do you protect your childrens eyes from long term sun damage. Do you protect them as well as you protect their skin?Sunglasses and a hat should be an essential for all our little ones whilst they are getting their essential doses of Vitamin D.

Are your eyes and nose running more than usual today? Pollen levels have soared today, bringing misery to hay-fever sufferers. The Met Office has predicted the levels are due to continue rising this week finally peaking on Saturday. Contact lens wearers may notice their vision becomes smeary and that their lenses feel generally more uncomfortable. There are several things we recommend you can do to help minimise the symptoms:
Eye Drops - Lubrication to help flush the pollen o...ut and soothe the irritated areas under your eyelids.
Antihistamine eye drops will reduce inflammation and soothe the itch - these can be bought over the counter in any pharmacy.
Cold Eye Compresses - Such as the Ice Doctor (available from us) Keep it in the freezer then use when needed to reduce your puffy, itchy sore eyes.
Wear large wrap around sunglasses to help stop pollen getting in.
Put Vaseline around the base of your nose to help trap the pollen before it enters your nasal passages causing inflammation. #hayfevermisery #irritatedeyes #soothetheitch
