Man the food was absolutely amazing and so fresh. Can not wait to go back! The staff were all very nice and informative. I had no idea what to order. The waitress answered all my questions and walked me through my choices.
Good treditional Turkish food, good service, good size plater. Recommended
Excellent food as always
Regular customer with the family
Delicious food. Excellent customer service. The complimentary warm bread and mint sauce was lovely and then we got Turkish tea bought to us at the end of the meal. Staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way for us. We ordered the platter and a jug of coke with the lemonade mocktail. All were . We shall definitely be dining here again.
Awsome place!! Great food, great service, one of my fav places to eat.
Amazing food all the time. The staff upstairs I must say are the best I have ever seen in a restaurant. They handled everything so well at iftari time even after getting abuse from some people. Well done guys. Keep up the good work.
Always love this place. Get really looked after. We’d like to go to new places but always end up here. ðŸ¤
Went on mother’s day and we loved the food, just customer service not very friendly and don’t look very happy.
The customer service was excellent - we arrived and asked the waiter a few things about the food and also asked if we could pray our salah anywhere - he led us upstairs to the 1st flour part of the restaurant which was empty and provide some prayer mats.
I was with my colleague and we ordered a aubergine starter (cold) which came with salad and warm bread (nice) , for the mains we ordered the ANTEP PLATTER - this had rice, couscous and different meats - we are big eaters and this would easily feed three people if you ordered a couple of starters aswell! Overall the food was grilled well , only think i found was the ribs to be slightly salty otherwise very nice - however if you like spicy indian type food then you could find the kebabs etc with not enough flavour but with less spices I feel you get real good taste of the meat texture etc! I would Recommend this place as an alternative to burger joints , curry places.
Ordered the family platter, tasted amazing & perfect size. Food was cooked perfectly. Waiter was a little rude, other then that everything was great.
My favorite restaurant in Birmingham. Delicious food, consistently. That's something almost impossible to find. For anyone who doesn't like this place you've probably ordered the wrong things. Go for the meat/chicken grill, lamb sheekh/platter, ribs, (are to die for!) and the Iskendar. Yes it's cramped, yes the waiters are a bit clueless and the owner is downright awful on the custom service front but I'm willing to overlook all of that for the truly amazing Turkish food here.
Platter portion was good size, but was really disappointed with lamb skewers it was like chewing rubber, taboula was another disappointment with the portion as well as chips.
The name says Turkish, setting is like a cafe and the service is non existent. Took them more than 40 minutes to get food on our table. By that time my kids had filled up on the complimentary bread (which arrived after 25 minutes of us seated there). My kids didn't eat when actual order was served being already full on just bread. Staff behaves as if they are giving you a huge favor by serving. How much a decent platter would entice you to come back to this place where the staff makes you feel unwelcome.
I travelled a fair distance to try this place as i had heared postive things, i however was left disappointed. I loved the bread, salad and hummus which was put on the table before the mains were bought out. I ordered a family platter, pizza and a few children meals. The platter looked appetising but when i bit into the sheesh kebab i was left with small fragments of bones in my mouth, it was of putting and I couldn't eat anything else after that. The dinner plates which were used are small starter plates, i think they are used because the tables are small!! The atmosphere on a whole wasnt bad but i felt very claustrophobic. I dont think i would dine here again.
Food was ok restaurant was boiling hot poor service our drinks were not delivered even after finishing the food
Family platter isn’t enough for 4 people and price is too high
We had to in half an hour ask five times for a glass of water then when we ordered a drink we had to ask three times for the drinks eventually when the food came to the table 1 hour late half of the food was cold the staff did not come up to the table to ask if we needed anything never going back to the shit place again
Very poor customer service... main waiter was very rude and the place is small with the mocktail bar taking unnecessary space... putting a family of 5 by the main door when they lied about a reserved family of 8 that never turned up... I wasn't happy with the poor customer service after spending £70 for 3 adults and 2 children and driving from london to this place to eat!! Not Recommended... the food was good because it's made my Turkish people.. the owners are just creedy for cash.
The bread was not fresh and warm. The salad was also not fresh. The over quality was poor as compare to other Turkish cuisine like Nemret
Really bad customer service and poor seating arrangement. Food was below par, infact it was undercooked. No apology was offered. Would not recommend.
