Photographs are perceived to present a reality which we can safely rely upon to convey information about the images they portray. In fact, the only realities are the photographer and his camera, which records whatever the photographer chooses to document and in a context of his choosing.
Educated at Rutlish School Merton 1943 – 50. Moved to Norfolk in 1961. Studied Fine Art – Printmaking as a mature student at Norwich School of Art and Design and graduated in 1996.

Opening Night Thursday 7th February 6pm-8pm
This is a retrospective exhibition showing almost fifty collages in paper as well as paintings produced in the last 10 years. These vary from small canvases (24x30cm and 30x40cm) to much larger pieces (110x120cm).
The exhibition comprises both geometric and lyrical abstraction using striking juxtapositions of colour and texture to produce surprising and original images. There are also some recent whimsical sculptures of imaginary ...creatures in paper.

This collection of paintings by Steve Goddard focusses on a year observing trees, light and colour between the equinoxes of spring.
Inspiration for Steve’s paintings comes from being in nature as well as the colours on his pallet. The artist’s aim is to use painting as self expression and to convey the joy and pleasure of being in a fantastic landscape, either amongst trees or with trees in view, feeling the sun on his face or the ...ground beneath his feet.
As well as painting, Steve works digitally to create surface pattern designs which are applied to fabric, ceramics and decoupaged surfaces.
