The Saatchi bill, which is just about to go through Parliament for the third time, is a vitally important development for cancer care. Read about how this will encourage innovation, and improve treatment options for people with a terminal diagnosis http://ow.ly/HO3rr
Mind over matter - grandfather recovers from 3 cancers in 13 months and completes a 222km trek to the South Pole. http://ow.ly/Hvmqs

Wishing you a very Merry Xmas and wonderful 2015
Good news for anyone wanting to reduce their risk or recover from cancer. Deserts were restricted in this study which would help normalise insulin levels in overweight women. Many studies show that sugar (from carbohydrates) fuel cancer growth. http://ow.ly/FT4wK
Interesting take on the latest Tamoxifen study. Overall message is very positive, but if you read the article... - 29% reduction in recurrence is actually a 4% reduction in absolute risk (92% cancer free in T versus 88% in placebo). - There were more deaths from breast cancer in the Tamoxifen group (31 vs 26) AND higher rates of death from ovarian cancer (5 vs 0). In relative terms, risk of death was 38% higher in the Tamoxifen group.
CRUK suggest discussing drug options with your Doctor, which is sound advice. Also ensure that you are optimising your health through diet and lifestyle, and where possible reduce your toxic load. These are the controllable aspects of cancer prevention, and the only side effects are greater energy, vitality and a reduced risk from most chronic health issues. http://ow.ly/FM7AN

Black & White Ball in Wycombe on 22 November - fun, frolics and fundraising on behalf of Karen's Big Smiles, a charity helping young people with cancer. Still a few tickets left - just £35 for a great night out.
Inspiring video- recovery from terminal lung cancer using an integrative approach. Chemo, cannabis oil, juicing, no sugar diet and exercise. This is one happy lady!
It's official - meditation and yoga can help protect you from cancer. Shorter telomeres, which protect the ends of chromosomes during DNA replication, are associated with ill health, cancer and ageing. Good news then that telomeres were found to be longer in breast cancer survivors who practice yoga and mindfulness. Ohmmmmmmm!
New centre offering non-medical support for cancer patients and their supporters. Fantastic news! http://ow.ly/DtMvL

An overview of IV vitamin C from the National Cancer Institute. Quote: 'Some of the studies showed the vitamin C helped kill more cancer cells'. Another huge benefit of high dose vitamin C is a significant reduction in side effects of treatment which are rarely talked about - including fatigue, constipation, depression, nausea and insomnia. http://www.cancer.gov/…/…/cam/highdos evitaminc/patient/page2
Yes to Life is an Integrative cancer charity, providing help and support to those trying their hardest to improve their prognosis, alongside medical treatment. Why shouldn't people choose to invest their own money in treatments which never harm and may provide some benefit? If you feel strongly about this please use the link to add to the comments at the Daily Mail http://ow.ly/CZLWC
