About Antinous House

Antinous House is a British think tank and lobbying group with a cross-party political stance, based in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, United Kingdom. It was named after Antinous, a favourite of the Roman emperor Hadrian who built Hadrian's Wall which ran through the same city. We aim to increase public awareness and engagement in important matters including equality and diversity, cultural harmony, citizenship, sustainability, and social inclusion. This is done through collaboration with multiple partners including governmental departments, public sector agencies and charities with whom we carry out public campaigns, promoting social engagement. Through social and engagement and public campaigns in collaboration with multiple partners including governmental departments, public sector agencies, we strive to increase public awareness and engagement of equality and diversity, cultural harmony, citizenship, sustainability, and social inclusion. As a membership-based organisation, we strive to act as pressure group and a force for political organisation and mobilisation. Having a cross-party-political viewpoint means that our members come from a variety of political and professional backgrounds and consequently they do not always share ourphilosophy or support all our policy ideas. Our ideology is one of liberty and justice in speech. We believe not only in the right to express or spread our own information and ideas but also the right to seek, receive and impart the information and ideas of others. Doing so creates an informed electorate leading to a better functioning democracy and improved governance of a nation.
