I’m in Venice atm to see “Epoca Fiorucci” Exhibition. It’s a cathartic experience for me as the Brand and some of it’s products have been throughout my life. For example, several parents gifts to me and those I struggle to buy, a ready made idea and concept that I identified with, helping me to fit in and be young. For someone in Brasil it meant accessibility and belonging.
Wearing the brand’s product connected you to something bigger, as it represented the creative artist, ...the sexual liberated people, those who felt different, people who distantly danced at Studio 54. Fiorucci was ahead of its time it collaborated with artist, created its own materials, invented marketing campaign with sexual contents, touched on nostalgia omits designs too and by doing so created a world and culture of its own. It showed that the young wants freedom and go shopping. Please share pictures here with those relevant.
