Apex Physiotherapy And Sports Injury Clinic Description

Apex Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic was established by Claire Peebles in 2006 as a full-time, private clinic dedicated to providing the highest standards of physiotherapy. Our physiotherapists are members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, registered with the Health and Care Profession Council, and affiliated to the Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice.

Based in the village of Chalfont St. Peter in South Buckinghamshire, Apex Physiotherapy is ideally located to serve the local communities of South Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and Berkshire.

Throughout her 16 years of experience, Claire has acquired an extensive knowledge of physiotherapy, particularly in the field of musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Claire successfully graduated from University College London in 2003 with a Master of Science degree in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

Graduates are recognised to have completed an advanced programme of study in the academic subjects relevant to physiotherapy, and to have developed advanced clinical skills.

The stringent examination process allows successful candidates to join an elite organisation called the Manipulation Association of Chartered Physiotherapists. By undertaking extensive post-graduate studies, members have achieved a recognised standard of excellence in neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy.

Let’s not forget how important exercise is for all of us, regardless of our age. We used to believe loss of muscle mass was a natural consequence of “healthy ageing” - however current research now shows us this loss of muscle mass is a natural part of “sedentary ageing”, not healthy ageing.

Winter Sports Preparation and Avoiding Injuries.
Common winter sports injuries include sprains, strains, dislocations, and fractures. Many of these injuries happen at the end of the day, when people overexert themselves to finish that one last run before the day's end. A majority of these injuries can easily be prevented if participants prepare for their sport by keeping in good physical condition, staying alert, and stopping when they are tired or in pain.
If you are planning your winter sports holiday and would like further advice on your preparation - please contact our Team and we would be delighted to advise you.
