About Apiaxle

ApiAxle is a proxy that sits in a customer's network, in front of their API(s) and manages things that their developers shouldn't have to build out every time like rate limiting, authentication, statistics and caching. It's fast, open and easy to configure. I want it to become ubiquitous, a case of developers doing 'apt-get install apiaxle' in their operating system as they might with mysql when they need a database. It has been worked on for a year (based on noticing a requirement for this sort of thing when I was a founder at Qwerly) and it has excellent traction so far despite a lack of marketing. Anyone with an API is a customer but we should be able to reach people that Mashery couldn't by not having the extra latency inducing hop and not having to send data out of the owner's network.
