Apple Orchard Campsite is an independent family run caravan and camping site situated in a rural location at the South East corner of the Forest of Dean set within the Severn Vale Plain. (adjacent to a traditional Gloucestershire apple orchard).
The site has wonderful views of the surrounding hills of the Forest of Dean and the famous May Hill crowned with its distinctive row of pine trees with a short walk to the River Severn at its famous Severn bore.
The site offers a central heated amenity block with free hot showers, disabled and toddler wet / changing room, with hand and hair dryers. There is a self-contained washing up, Chemical and Grey water disposal area.
We have 60 pitches with 48 electric hook ups (16 Amp) on a level site.

Apple Orchard would like to thank everyone who donated to our latest fundraiser. During our season we have done quiz nights where all funds raised were in aid of Blue Sky Thinking. This a charity chosen by Matthew Jones. Matthew also raised funds by running a half marathon in the holidays. We have managed to raise roughly £980 . I am immensely proud of my team , especially Cottie ! Thank you again everyone. Tink

What a little Gem of a place! On arrival the sun was shinning and the whole place looked clean and pretty! We had a struggle getting up our tent but the wardens came over to help! So friendly and helpful! We ate in the cafe and food was lovely and reasonable! Clean toilet block with free hot showers! My son enjoyed visiting the two goats! Going to the little park and ice creams what more can a 5 year old want! Will definitely come back and recommend this site!!! Thank you for a fab stay on a hot weekend!! 😀
What a fantastic campsite! We have just bought our first caravan and this site was highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint! The children could play safely and Dave and Caroline couldn’t do enough for us they where busy but nothing was to much trouble. We ate in the onsite cafe the food was fresh, hot and delicious! The facilities where cleaned regularly and all maintained well. We will certainly be returning! I’m told by my husband the cider was great too!
We stayed in one of the glamping pods during May half term, what a lovely site! Really friendly welcome, clean facilities, nice park for the kids and plenty of space for games! Great location will definitely be back
Very accommodating, tea room staff are lovely sweet ladies, they played with our children and were falling over themselves to help and make you feel welcome. Dinner was tasty and good value for money. Definitely recommend
This is the second time we have been to this site. This time we had our own caravan and we pitched up with some friends for the weekend. Again, we were treated so well. Everyone is so friendly and the facilities are second to none. The new toilet and shower block is fantastic. My two girls, one is 4 years old and the other is 18 months, thoroughly enjoyed it. The freedom to run around is fab. The site is great for doggies too. We will most definitely be returning and next time it WILL be for longer. Thank you again Apple Orchard �.
Thank you to all at Apple Orchard for another fabulous weekend. The cafe is brilliant with very friendly accommodating staff and wonderful home made food. The toilet block is always clean and tidy, the dog walk is large and secure and the owners couldn't be more helpful. A brilliant base for time spent in the Forest of Dean area.
Spent two blissful nights here. I think they even sorted the weather for us! Great little site for a family with small children. Think there’ll be a few more nights spent here with the wider family too. Awesome facilities, great little tea room, a park and goats. What more do you need!
Spent 2 nights here with my husband, son and his family really made us feel at home..nothing is too much for them. Carolyn and Dave are lovely work hard but always have the time to spend a few mins chatting with you...you can order freshly cooked pizza's and fresh pasties and have them delivered to your pitch wjhich we did! thoroughly enjoyed them! also home made cider brewed there aswel..the goats are fab and my 2 granddaughters spent most of their time in the field feeding them..everyone is just so friendly! Will definitely be going back.
One of our favourite campsites. Carolyn and Dave and their team are SUPER hospitable, the home cooked food is yummy and very good value. The shower block is always clean and warm with good showers and the site is perfect for dogs. We LOVE LOVE LOVE what you do.
Just had a brilliant week, camping at Apple Orchard Campsite. Friendly staff, great and clean facilities and a fab base for visiting local attractions (although we spent most of the week sat on-site, enjoying the sunshine and the home made cider!) We have already booked in for another week next year! Many thanks!
If Carlsberg did campsites this would be the one! The most friendly, welcoming and down to earth hosts you could wish for with an abundance of local knowledge. Fantastic camping field with hot showers and super clean toilets. No ridiculously strict rules on what to do or how to behave just have fun and be good campers. And then there's the cider!.......! Grown and fermented on site and sampled on arrival. Fantastic!!! This is by far the best campsite I have been to in years and well be back for many more family holidays to come. Thank you xxx
I stayed here as part of the “Flamingo’s” ( group of amputees ) and it was amazing, location facilities the staff all very welcoming and relaxed nothings an issue.
Defo back next year for round two the Peg-legs attending quiz night.
Certainly can’t speak highly enough and already recommending.
Having just stayed for a weekend the only negative is that We didn’t stay for longer!!!
Such a fantastic campsite, very friendly, great for kids with plenty of space for them for run around, all whilst maintaining a peaceful, relaxing stay.
The food from the cafe is lovely and I was rather partial to their own bottled cider. I can not wait to come back again soon!
Had a really good couple of days here. Dave and Carolyn were really welcoming. Facilities are clean, onsite cafe good, did a roaring trade as there were 2 bikers rallies there, so there was entertainment Saturday night.
There is some cracking cider to be had that is made from the orchard in the next field. So thanks guys, going to plan in another trip soon �
Had a great weekend in the pods for my birthday, can't fault the campsite ,shop and shower block fantastic the staff are really friendly we will be back thanks for cider
Great campsite. Flat pitches well maintained. Owners friendly and incredibly accomodating. Lovely cafe and tea shop. Bar on site. Had a fantastic long weekend staying here.
Fab site brilliant for families. Lovely tea room which served fantastic breakfast. Can recommend the cider made on site. Would highly recommend and will return �

Arrived on Friday 31st August for a weekend with our family. We stayed in a pod and our sons and their families were camping. We were able to be together, thanks to you. We had a great weekend and stayed on site all the time, apart from a walk on Saturday afternoon. Will definitely visit again and recommend to others.
