IF POSSIBLE PLEASE BRING ANY KNITTING NEEDLES, RED WOOL OR CROTCHET HOOKS!!! PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN INVOLVED. MANY THANKS.

A massive thank you for the huge effort with the poppy installation which is now on show in the grounds of St Mary’s Church. We are still happy to receive any more that are made or in the process of being made. We await council approval to finally fix the ‘there but not there’ soldier at the memorial. Community spirit at its best. Thanks again.

Well what can we say .... thanks to all of you that have knitted, crocheted, felted and helped in any way. Still on going but isn’t it a wonderful sight. Very moving 🙏.

Brilliant turn out for Sunday’s fixing session! Thanks to everyone that came along!
OVER 4,000 HAVE BEEN FIXED, PLEASE KEEP THE POPPIES COMING, DROP THEM INTO EITHER THE NEWSAGENTS, BENSONS OR THE BEAVER. THANKS! THE NEXT FIXING SESSION WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY 21st OCTOBER @ ST MARYS CHURCH HALL.

Thank you all so much for the time and effort being put in towards the Poppy installation. Approximately 2000 were fixed today and they look fabulous. We also have wreaths and a superb creation that Josie Simms has created. It is our intention to keep fixing Poppies until the end of October so please keep them coming. Have attached a few photos .....humbling thank you. Andy & Caroline.
