About Appletree Allotment & Community Garden

A place to learn, meet, grow and dig deep.
Everyone is welcome - learn some new growing skills or share what you know!

Appletree Allotment & Community Garden Description

Appletree Allotment & Community Garden welcomes everyone who is interested in fresh air, home grown produce, healthy lifestyle and meeting like-minded people. An allotment can produce enough food to supplement a family's weekly shop, with fresh fruit and vegetables being available most of the year. Everyone who gives some of their time can share in the produce grown on site – because it’s fresh it also tastes better!

There are lots of health and wellbeing benefits too! Just 30 minutes of gardening on an allotment can burn around 150 calories, the same as doing low impact aerobics. You can also meet new friends as there is great camaraderie with other site users and, no matter what your strength, skills or abilities there are activities to suit everyone. (We have raised beds on hard standing for anyone who may be less mobile)

If you want any more information, please get in touch – we would be happy to hear from you!
