Our Empowering Lives programme is a fun, pre-emptive and innovative programme which provides children with the foundations for positive mental health and sets them up to thrive in the long-term. The programme is grounded firmly in our belief that children and young people have the right to understand mental health in its entirety, not just the diagnostic labels which are commonplace in our society. Our programmes go above and beyond the national requirements for mental health teaching in PHSE. However, this is not a programme to use simply to ensure criteria are met. This is a programme to inspire, educate and encourage children and young people to feel in control of their mental health and empowered to thrive in their lives.
