Delicious food, we went for the lunch menu, which was limited but still a fairly good choice of starters and mains. Very attentive staff, food well presented, good price.

The best Asian food I've ever had. Nice decor and quick service. Highly recommend it!

We wandered past this restaurant which is a bit tucked away and thought we would give it a try. We didn't have great hopes. However, it was an excellent experience. Knowlegeable waiter who seemed genuinely interested in what we thought of the food. Well prepared and beautifully presented. Not over expensive for an evening meal. Overall a very good experience in Ipswich which is thin on good places to eat. I notice someone thought the portions were small. They were fine for us. We will definately be back.

We visited AquaEight for dinner recently and were left feeling less than satisfied with our experience and still hungry. We ordered the set meal for three from the summer menu which consisted of very minimal portions and lacked in any imagination. We really felt the price of the food bared no resemblance to the quantity or quality! £28 per person is excessive to then leave a restaurant and still feel the need to go and eat again, and none of us have large appetites or are gluttonous. It is always slightly embarrassing to raise this sort of issue but on reflection , at the time, we felt quite upset and shocked and didn't want to sour the rest of the evening. The quality of the food, we strongly feel doesn't warrant that sort of money. We are always happy to pay any price if the quality is there but it just wasn't this time around. We want to let others know of the experience we had. Maybe this is down to trying out a new 'summer menu'? But our advice, if you want to throw your money down the drain , go here!

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Lovely staff, and great atmosphere, very funky. Whilst I would stay away from the dim sum, there is so much which outclasses most Chinese restaurants. The chicken satay, crispy duck, and tempura are amazing. The duck with mango and passionfruit is beautiful, and the black cod - whilst expensive - is a beautiful piece of fish. The soft shell crab and fried tofu are both divine!

EXCELLENT. By far the best restaurant around. No wonder it won Best Restaurant in the UK.

User

Great food great service I love the mango and passion fruit duck it's my favourite and the dim sum is on point. If you love cocktails then you'll want to do the whole menu as they are all tasty

Same old menu from years ago, not worth the money or the hype. The food is okay but not as good as they claim. In wouldn't bother wasting your money here.

Had lunch here and was surprised by the quality for the price. Really impressed. Would go again. Place also clean and decorated very nicely.
