The pool has been closed to ensure cleaning and water clarity checks are carried out to ensure hygiene levels are maintained.

Our community involvement
It’s been a busy few weeks since our Autumn term lessons re started with lots of things going on behind the scenes...
One of the things we’ve been doing back over the weekend of 8th and 9th September was to support a Craig Wright who was attempting to complete a triathlon in aid of Danica’s Dream fund! Craig started off at Jesmond swimming pool and swam a mile, then he made he’s way to the great north run start line and successfully completed the ha...lf marathon in 1 hour 41 minutes...then if that wasn’t enough to try and raise funds for the local charity he then cycled as far as he could along the Hadrian’s wall route (route 72) Craig cycled a distance of 63 miles until the weather changed (rain, wind)
Aqua splash provided much needed ‘vehicle support’ to support Craig’s challenge!
Thanks to everyone for supporting Aqua splash for this event...total amount raised was over £750.00!

Customer notice
Any customers who has ordered certificates from our summer swim school we receive them in the next couple of weeks.
We are currently awaiting a delivery and once wrote out they will be distributed between our two learn to swim facilities.

**Swim school policy update**
We have reviewed our waiting lists and due to the current demand of different services (I.e. requiring adult and child, children group lessons, one to one and two to one lessons,adult lessons)
If we contact you to offer a place and it’s not taken then records will be delete from our data base to free up space for people wanting to get into swim school which will also reduce our admin time a lot.
... Also we have two main options for payment either by card over the phone (for new customers) Or by bacs transfer.
If you are paying by bacs transfer please can this payment be done ASAP prior to your first lesson commencing and notify us when payments have been transferred. Unfortunately weve had a couple of customers this term turning up to lessons who have not paid for their block? All lessons are paid in blocks!
Please don’t turn up if payment hasn’t been received.

We’ve had a great start to our Autumn term so far with some great swimming 🏊 from our pupils...from both our facilities.
We would also like to welcome to our swim school 80 new swimmers in our non swimmers lessons who are already on there 3rd lessons traveling 5 meters on their back and fronts, Jumping in, pushing and gliding and rotating from front to back independently!
We’ve also had to date the biggest transfer from other lesson providers into Aqua Splash with 37 new sta...rters joining us at Aqua splash who have settled in well with our fabulous teachers and are already making improvements under our tested teaching method
A massive well done 👍 to everyone so far and we look forward to seeing more development over our Autumn term.

Saturday lessons at Mayfield school are off today as a pre planned closure.

Mayfield school pool boilers have broken down resulting in heat loss in the water and air.
... For the safety of our customers the water temperature is currently sitting at 21 degrees and still dropping which is to cold to run our lessons!
Engineers have been ordered parts so we are just awaiting them and well get the pool back up to temperature.
We can only apologize for the inconvenience but unfortunately this problem can go at anytime and is completely out of our control as a hirer.
We will be rescheduling these lessons once we have sorted pool allocation.
Once again apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Thank you for the crash course last week, Harry thoroughly enjoyed it, it's done him good having 1 on 1 lessons with Gavin. Will be booking another slot.
Our son whos 6 and autistic is currenrly having 1 to 1 lessons with gavin, worth every penny. Alex is really enjoying then. Gavin has great teaching skills and fab interaction with kids. Alex looks forward to going.
My son, Max, is on the autistic spectrum and has been having lessons with Gavin for about a year now after struggling with other providers. He's now really confident and has made loads of progress, and will even go underwater now - before coming, he was terrified of even getting his face wet! Very impressed!
My son loves Aqua Splash, Gav the instructor is brilliant with the kids (and also the nervous parents!). He manages to make the learning fun for them and makes them feel safe and comfortable during lessons. I couldn't recommend Aqua Splash highly enough. Thank you

I started off just about able to get across a width and with absolutely no technique and now am able to do lengths with no problem and I feel my techniques are 100% better than when I started. Excellent teaching, and the pool at St Bees is a great pool!
Hi just to let u know i popped thru to the half 2 class today just to have a look and see what it was all about and i am so impressed the instructor was amazing at his job he was engaging friendly polite n took time to answer my questions it will be an honour for such a lovely man to learn my daughter such a life saving skill xxx

Amaia loved her stage 3 crash course. I can't wait to see her in group tomorrow to see her progress. Gavin was fab with her as usual and worked on two things she was struggling with, but in a variety of ways, so the lessons were focussed but varied. Can highly recommend the 1:1 sessions ��
Absolutely brilliant, Gavin has got leo from hating swimming to loving it and been able to swim with his armbands on by himself within 4/5 lessons, would highly recommend to anybody
