This was posted on to my page by a friend literally minutes ago. (Names have been changed) It shows you the reality of basic first aid training and that it can make a difference. We were teaching an EFR course at the time, so today’s students got to hear a real example.
‘A man literally just died on the pavement in RP. XX ran to work for the defibrillator. The services arrived 15 minutes later and got him back after another 15 minutes but without XX he’d have had no chance.... My wife’s amazing. But why, for the sake of £100 are defibrillators not mandatory in at least one or two shops on every high st.’
Well done to XX for her quick thinking.
