Potable water is a valuable resource so why flush it down the toilet? #aquatherm lilac pipe is the ideal choice for reclaimed water and recycled water systems. In order to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste, the protection caps for pipes with diameters 40, 50 and 63 mm have been eliminated. The caps were used only once and had to be disposed of once our pipe had been delivered to site. With that step, #aquatherm will dispense with approximately 1.8 million caps per year, which equals a reduction of around 8.5 tonnes of plastic waste annually.

The Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor is about 50 kilometers north of Doha and is currently being constructed to be used as a playing venue for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The design of the stadium is said to reflect the inside of a Bedouin tent, coloured red, white, and black. These tents, the bayt al sha’ar, is also where the stadium gets its name from. The roof will be retractable, opening and closing in 20 minutes. With a capacity of 60,000 seats, this stadium is expected to host one of the semi finals. #aquatherm green pipe sized from 20 to 355mm is being installed on the ​​potable water and public facilities.

We had a bit of a shock at #Aquatherm UK when we returned after the Easter break. Two Eurasian blue tits had built their nest in our designated smoking area. The good news is that despite being spooked when we made our discovery, the female has now returned and is still incubating the eggs whilst her partner is delivering her food.
