About Ar-Tarantula

We are new to the tarantula scene which I have been wanting to join for the last 30 years and my passion and determination to finally get there started a couple of months ago after my 5 year old daughter asked me to kill a spider in the bathroom. . . . . . .

Tarantula Unboxing - spidersworld - x4 Tarantula
We have wanted to order for spidersworld.eu for sometime, seeing the set up they have on a darkden video which was amazing, with out a doubt they have one of the bigger ranges of Tarantula's for sale to customers in the EU.
Our spiders shipped from Poland so it was a few 3/4 days delivery time and I was concerned but all arrived well and are doing well!
... We will definitely buy again and we wish to say a big thank you to Spiders World EU!
This is a bit long usually try keep unboxing's to 10 mins or less but As x4 tarantula get unpacked and placed in homes it weighs in at 20 mins, I did consider splitting it but in the end I thought better to keep at as one to show/ reflect what came in one delivery.
Tarantula's received-

----------------------------------------- ---------------------------- Harpactira pulchripes (Golden Leg Baboon) Many keepers consider the Harpactira pulchripes, a striking orange bodied and metallic blue legged beauty, the hobby’s latest crown jewel. This relatively new African species pops up on many keepers’ wish lists, and folks who manage to acquire one proudly share photos.
----------------------------------------- ---------------------------- The king baboon spider, scientific name Pelinobius muticus, is a tarantula species native to East Africa. The king baboon spider can grow up to 20 cm in leg span. It is a slow-growing species. The spider is often rusty brown or orange in colour. King baboon/ Malaysian earth tiger Double ReHouse - Time to Move - AR Tarantula
Our Malaysian earth tiger has not been moved since they was bought at the northern spider show and a transfer was long over due to a more suitable container, I did not realise how much growing had been done here as she/ he has been a bit of pet hole.
Our King Baboon arrived from Poland just over a week ago, due to extended travel time I just wanted to get them in to a enclosure but the critter cup... used looks a bit small for this crazy digger so another move to something bigger!
----------------------------------------- ---------------------------- Omothymus schioedtei (Malaysian earth tiger) is a species of spider in the family Theraphosidae (tarantulas), found in Peninsular Malaysia. It is also known by the synonym Cyriopagopus schioedtei and a large and colourful arboreal tarantula from the subfamily Ornithoctoninae. It is a very large spider with a leg span of 22 cm and a carapace length above 3 cm.
----------------------------------------- ---------------------------- The king baboon spider, scientific name Pelinobius muticus, is a tarantula species native to East Africa. The king baboon spider can grow up to 20 cm in leg span. It is a slow-growing species. The spider is often rusty brown or orange in colour. ... xxx
A big thank you to all at the Portsmouth Tarantula's!
portsmouthtarantulas.co.uk
----------------------------------------- ---------------------------- The Socotra Island Baboon Tarantula (Monocentropus Balfouri) is an absolutely stunning old world tarantula. As their name suggests they are native to the island (Socotra) just off the coast of Africa. Due to its spectacular look it is not surprise that enthusiasts are so keen to get a hold of this beauty. The exact colouration can differ very slightly, but the legs are generally a striking electric blue with a sandy coloured body. The light coloured hairs covering their body gives them a look as if they would be satin soft to the touch. They are mid range size tarantula with the females after reaching maturity reaching within 4-5 inches in size.
This is one of the few species of spider where the female does not dwarf the male in size and weight. This is not the only thing that separates this tarantula from others. They are known to live communally and to be very good parents to their young.
