Montana Furniture recently introduced a number of off-the-peg designs such as dressers, cabinets, nightstands and side tables to accompany their popular modular system. Included is a collection designed by Verner Panton, the most distinctive of which are his Wire Cubes (pictured). These storage units are designed to be wall-mounted, stacked to create free-standing shelving, or used as occasional tables. Available online and on display in-store – bit.ly/AS-MNT-T

MDF Italia are known for their innovative use of materials and the Lim 3.0 table pictured is no exception. The angular, extruded aluminium frame holds an embedded ceramic top with satin finish. Glass and Fenix are also options and all finishes are available in multiple colours. It’s a strong and understated piece of design that would suit many chair types, however here it’s surrounded by Verner Panton’s Panton One chairs. Originally designed in 1955 for a restaurant in Tivoli, Copenhagen, the Panton One has been re-issued by Montana Furniture. They’re super comfortable due to the flexibility of the nylon and PVC cord which forms the seat and back. Plus, they are suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

In 1965 USM Modular Furniture their Haller modular system. It was initially developed by Paul Schärer Jr., an engineering graduate of the ETH of Zurich, together with the architect Fritz Haller, to meet USM's own requirements in the offices of its newly constructed production facility. It’s based on an open system principle meaning it’s modifiable to almost any configuration.
