One of the first groups of people to take advantage of our exclusive ACCESS ALL AREAS summer holiday openings were the Hoang family, from Whitefield.
Here are Katie & mum Amie, big sis Skye and dad Mike - all enjoying one of the very latest additions to our collection of Japanese Arcade and Rhythm games on Floor 2, "Toys' March".
... Mike's very first gaming console was a SEGA Megadrive and his favourite game was Revenge of Shinobi. Nowadays they have a household PS4 whilst Katie and Skye also love playing retro games on their classic Super Nintendo mini.
Today was their first trip to Arcade Club and by the sounds of it they'll be back again soon for more! Both floors at Arcade Club are open to families on Thursdays and Fridays throughout July/August, from 11am - 5pm.
On Floor 2 we have Fortnite & Rocket League on top-spec 1080 PCs, Modern arcade games and rhythm/dance machines, PS4/XB1 consoles, big screen multiplayer Mario Kart on Nintendo Switch and VR (12+) whilst up on Floor 3 we host Minecraft sessions together with Europe's Largest Classic Video Game Arcade. Adults-only evening sessions on Thursday/Fridays are running as normal, from 6pm.

Here are Arcade Club's extended opening times for the Summer Holidays!
In addition to our normal opening times at weekends and Thursday/Friday evenings, we will also be opening both Floor 2 and Floor 3 to families during the daytime every Thursday and Friday, from 11am until 5pm.
Admission price for the Thursday/Friday daytime sessions - £12 per adult, £7 children. Our usual opening times/admission prices are not affected i.e. £10 for one floor/£15 both floors (adults), £5 (...kids, floor 3 only). Thursday and Friday evenings are adults only or 16+ with an adult.
We will also be open for the bank holiday on Monday 27th August, from 11am - 8pm (standard admission prices/policies apply).
Before you travel, please check carefully to ensure that the floor(s) you wish to experience are open at the times you intend to visit.
Please note that if you visit during the day on a Thursday/Friday and intend to return for an evening session when the venue reopens at 6pm, you will need to buy separate ticket(s).

Here's a spotlight on some visitors who came on Sunday...
Pictured here are husband and wife Guillaume and Julie along with their 3 kids, who are all building in Minecraft together! Guillaume is a regular who often brings a few of his kids to Arcade Club, but this Sunday the whole family came and it was heartwarming to see them all play together. It turns out that this was a special occasion because they will be leaving the UK this week! It will be a ...shame to see them go but we wish them all the best.
Guillaume and Julie met at a gaming competition and used to game a lot. The children have Minecraft at home on their iPad but they enjoy coming to Arcade Club, especially to play multiplayer Minecraft on our PCs. They also like to play on the shooting and driving arcade cabinets in the Classic Arcade.

Where do I start? Gorf, Pacland, Commando, Star Wars, Track & Field, Phoenix, Outrun, Missile Command, Tron, the list is never ending. All classic games from over 30 years ago, all on one floor and all on Free Play. What an amazing place to go. And then I find out you serve Beer and Pizzas too. Top night out, great value and excellent range of games too.

Went on Saturday and was blown away by just how good it was, every classic you could ask for and then some more from insane Japanese table tipping games, rythmn action, VR, light gun games arcade racers (in the cars) all modrn consoles a pinball room, this place has it all.

Me and my friends completed xmen arcade, turtles, simpsons, time crisis point blank, star wars trilogy arcade, wrestlefest outrun several times spent seven hours there and could have gone longer if it wasn't for the heat.

We went in the midst of the heatwave so it's was a constant 25-30c inside glad we all went in shorts and t shirts.

Food and drink is very fairly priced at 50 - 60p a can and £1 a bottle and a surprisingly good range of alcoholic choices.

If you're on the fence whether to make the trip (2hrs each way for us) just do it and have an amazing day and feel like a kid at the seaside again.

User

Took my (almost) 10 yo boy his little bro and a few friends for a birthday treat. Like a few people have said the temperature is a little on the hot side but probably to be expected ATM and there is no shortage of fans around the place to cool down.

Service was exceptional :)) everything that I asked for including helping us put the cake out for his birthday was no problem and with smiles all round. The Food was delicious and arrived promptly. We bought loads more drinks than I’d probably expected to because the prices are so reasonable which makes such a refreshing change. very friendly lad on the door even asked us outside on the way to the car if everything had been alright and thanked us again.

I will definitely take the boys back again very soon thank you.

User

This place is absolutely top. Some of the cabinets are very old however they're in top condition and ready to give you a good nostalgia kick.

The selection of modern games is excellent and the atmosphere around the place is friendly. This atmosphere is curated by the staff who are truly excellent.

Would definitely go again.

User

The staff are amazing the whole concept and layout is fantastic some real retro games that took me back to my childhood and make this place something really special. Only improvement that could be made is that it was a little difficult to find needs clearer signs to show people were it is other than that amazing

User

Last time I visited Arcade Club it was in its original home in Haslingden and was amazing then, well the move to Bury has made it a million times better, literally everything you could think of or want in gaming is there, old stuff, new stuff, weird stuff, beer and snacks the whole shebang !!!

I cant rate it highly enough, was quite busy which is great but did not have a problem getting on a single thing I wanted to play on, the only down side was there was that much amazing stuff, I started playing a game and then out the corner of my eye saw another and moved on to that in total excitement!!

It also gave my my retro gaming enthusiasm back again, so I fired my own arcade machine up today and went on the beg for an old CRT TV so I could get the dreamcast back out and maybe collect a few more my fave consoles (just dont tell the Mrs )

Massive thanks to Andy for creating this and to make it even better its right on my doorstep, so we'll be back soon !!

Came to Arcade Club for my birthday and had an absolutely amazing time ! With an entry fee of just £15 for both floors and every game free after you had paid !! All my favourite games I grew up playing were there aswell as high spec pc's gaming consoles old and new there was food and drinks at very reasonable prices and the staff were really friendly and helpful !! The Best £15 I've ever spent thank you so much for an amazing Birthday and will defiantly be back again

Awesome place. Me and my brother visited for the first time Sunday and it completely exceeded our expectations. The set up and organisation of the two floors is done so well. The original machines are such a nostalgia high, man, for 15 quid it feels like you're doing them over, lol. Food, alcohol, retro and modern gaming. Nice enough staff. I can't even think of a negative, cos' even the heat they try to contain with enough fans and even deodorant in the toilets (smart!) So, Yh. I recommend shorts and T-shirt if you visit. Overall, awesome experience. Visit and see for yourself! - Rogan brothers.

User

Absolutely loved this place! Knowing an original killer instinct cabinet was here was enough to draw me in! Food and drinks where spot on and cheap :-) the only heads up I would give someone is shorts and a vest! I underestimated how hot it would be! Will be returning very soon! Thanks for such an awesome place! There should be more places like this around :-) ste from Preston, A*
