As part of the Government's commitment to help prevent fatalities and injuries from accidental fire, the Home Office has launched a new communications campaign to keep people safe in their homes.
The campaign aims to raise awareness of everyday fire risks that are present in the home and encourage all householders to test their smoke alarms regularly.

Flower TARA Universal Credit Crisis Packs
Flower TARA submitted a bid to combat hardship for those struggling with Universal Credit. The original idea was to issue food for those most in need but this would have been difficult to manage with perishable goods and also dietary requirements and personal taste. The TARA committee had a rethink and contacted Fulton's Foods who do not normally issue food vouchers. Fulton's were happy to accommodate the TARA with vouchers for this p...roject. Applicants must be in receipt of Universal Credit and an SCC tenant. The TARA issue £13 of vouchers made up of 2 x £5 and £3 as there is no change when there has been an under-spend. The TARA are there to give a helping hand when tenants are waiting for their claim to be processed. Up to now they have helped 30 tenants, the maximum help that has been needed has spanned a 3 week period.
