Civil engineers design, make and maintain built environments, and help sustain natural landscapes. Every road, bridge, building, harbour, airport or energy facility depends upon the creativity, imagination and skill of civil engineers.
If you choose a career in civil engineering you could be working across the globe to construct sustainable buildings, develop transport systems and to provide clean water.

Find out how Isobel, Greg, Arun and their team designed and built a structure using limited materials and based on one interpretative word: reciprocal. This was their first ever project at university, and the start of a continual collaboration between architecture and engineering they'll experience throughout their degrees and on into their careers.
‘It was really good fun. When you've got a shared experience with people you don't know, it builds the relationships quite quickly. I think it was a great first project.’- Greg Ferguson, BSc Architecture
