Culture-Theory-Space
This research is concerned with critical discourse and the cultural contexts of architecture and the built environment. This is characterised by our strong interdisciplinary links to cultural history, cultural theory, sociology, politics, human geography, planning and urbanism.

Design Knowledge
Much of the research undertaken by Design Knowledge is diverse; the group's focus . . . is applied design as well as creating critical dialogues about design, its education, implementation, materiality and its future trajectory. The group has a strong interdisciplinary ethos that befits contemporary design practice and has experience in Design Strategy, Design and Making, Human Centred Design Processes, Retail and Spatial Architectures, Design for Exhibition, Environmentally Sensitive Design and Design Narratives, Technology, Service Design /Interaction and Product Design.

Environmental Building
This research group focuses on the fields of building science, technology and construction management. Individual researchers also provide significant contributions in fields like construction law and sustainability literacy. The research encompasses a range of sub-topics, including thermography, laboratory and in-situ measurements of thermal and humidity properties of building materials, building performance simulation, off-site construction, low and zero carbon technologies.
