The old Co-op building on Elder way Chesterfield is turning into a Premier Inn with a range of top restaurants on the ground floor .
Over the past 4 years I have done some projects with installing thousands of secondary Glazing units all over the UK but this contract has now been secured by Arctic Glaze and my partner company MW Window Systems Limited . It’s the most iconic and nostalgic one to date .

A very unique project completed for acoustics on this straw built house in York .
All walls were curvy to say the last but that’s what made it the house it was .
The customer was a little unsure that Secondary Glazing would mould into the features and maybe look unsightly .
... We knew that we could scribe our trims to suit the walls and installed faith that the end result would make this one bespoke fit.
The customer was more than happy and that’s what makes us push forward with confidence we can make that difference to a family home .

Another privately owned building in need of Secondary Glazing in Coventry, comprising of 22 windows . Local building control/council have said they are not able to change the old primary window so Secondary Glazing is a must in this conversion in to accommodation . The Secondary Glazing will provide this building with the acoustic and thermal benefits it requires using a 6.4 acoustic laminated glass .

Early this week we went back to a site we secured and made massive progress in London this week .
We have installed these 40 units in difficult conditions but these are the most rewarding jobs , it’s how you handle these jobs that defines how you move forward and win more project .
This site in London require a certain Db reduction as they are redeveloping this a former piano factory but as part of the sign off and approval had to reach certain acoustic levels .
... We designed and advised a system that would meet there requirements and also aid contractors with our knowledge and experience to offer solutions .

Ashgate Road (Chesterfield ) has a bundle of old period houses that deserve to keep the full character of the house i.e original windows .

It’s been a tough past few months here at Arctic Glaze Ltd and I must say we have as a team worked the hardest on our current sites .
One team has been dealing with a few issues on a project in Leicester comprising of 73 Secondary Glazing units to the BT Tower. Staying focused and seeing this job out has been done with the knowledge and experience on tough sites , that experience came through and is now complete so well done boys 👌
Meanwhile at the same time another team has... been making its mark on the breathtaking 5* Hotel in London “The Ned” .
16 working days and we have completed 200 Secondary Glazing Units in a live Hotel which is an unbelievable target and achievement .
Here at Arctic Glaze Ltd we have all put in the time and made a a massive effort which has now opened very exciting times ahead .

This was a fantastic example of how Secondary Glazing can help out a customer who is struggling with not only noise from general public and the traffic, they have the added pleasure of the train line 😩
When I visited the property the customer had a number of solutions presented to them, but Arctic Glaze offered a casement style Secondary Glazing example planted on the face of the reveal to allow optimum acoustic distances (150-200mm, glass to glass)
As I installed the units ...the noise difference became increasing noticeable and when the customer came in the room they also instantly noticed no road or pulic noise .
The train noise had now been dampened dramatically and enough to put a smile on the customers face 🙂

Well it's been a great day for Arctic Glaze Ltd having a team over in Manchester pushing on a project for Granada Glazing, it has over 250 windows on this ISG site and we are finally seeing results.
The grey windows have now been completed in the show room (Manchester ) and we have a great example of how Secondary Glazing should be fitted by a very experienced team, over 12 years in the sector .
Arctic Glaze have also been working direct for Broadley Group on a project with... 9 x bespoke windows that have been completed and signed off as a result of the professional install .
The books are looking full for next year as we approach our last week work and a very well deserved break as we have installed well over 1000 units this year and boosting our name in the commercial world .
