The next level of barbershop. Great experience, not just a hair cut. Feels like a real elite service. The extra care makes for the freshest of fades. Highly recommended this place, give it a go, you won't look back.

Since coming here I've really started to enjoy getting my haircut. Visiting Matt at Areté is more of an experience than a usual haircut and his knowledge of both hair and overall style is second to none. Instead of using clippers, they've altered my usual trim to a scissor fade meaning I'm alot happier with the way my hair grows out now. Cant recommend enough - worth every penny.

Just come out from a hair cut and luxury facial treatment, and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

I was given a voucher as a birthday present, as I had been struggling to find a hair style that suited me. Matt was brilliant on working out a style that would suit my needs.

And after a stressful week the actual treatment was so relaxing!

I’ve been waiting ages for Josh & Matt to open their own place but it has definitely been worth the wait. I’d always hated getting my hair cut but I genuinely look forward to it now. I've had my haircut by Matt for the last couple of years and have always had a great haircut from him. Now he and Josh have opened their own barbers it isn't just a haircut you get, it's an experience each time. I look forward to visiting Arete every time. I had an appointment here with matt for a haircut and beard trim and impressed isn’t the word! These guys go into every fine detail discussing your hair and lifestyle to ensure that everything they do meets there clients requirements and is manageable in day to day life. Been having my hair cut by Matt for a while now and honestly I wouldn’t go to any another barber! This place is run by two of genuinely nicest guys who make you feel really comfortable. The attention to detail they have when cutting your hair makes me and other customers I know who use them leave feeling very satisfied every time. I also thought the barber shop was very impressive the first time I saw it, which goes a long with the service!!

As one would expect from Josh and Matt, Arete really delivers. From the moment you enter the place, they both make you feel incredibly welcome and treat you with style and class. Having been a regular client of his for several years, Matt is the only person that I completely trust with my hair and he always spends time on it and knows what's best.
