Excellent staff; very knowledgeable and took a lot of time and trouble to ensure that we got the right products at the right price. Would highly recommend a visit if you're looking to buy a mobile or tablet.

Argos is Argos. The shops are clean and easy to navigate, the staff is very friendly and always helpful and you usually receive your purchase within five minutes.

We went in to return a faulty gazebo (which actually went quite smoothly) and overheard the plight of the lady next to us. She had ordered two items online to collect in store. She had received a notification that her items were ready, but when she arrived she was informed that only one item was in store. When she asked why she'd received a notification when only one item was ready to collect she was told that it happens all the time.

On another note, last year I was given an Argos voucher as a gift and wanted to put it towards a fridge. I found out that you can't use vouchers online (rediculous but not the main reason for this low rating) so I had to come into store to order said fridge. All went smoothly, was asked my preferred delivery date, it would be in a few weeks time which wasn't a problem as we weren't moving into the new house for a few weeks anyway. Fast forward a few weeks and a lady from Argos direct calls to confirm a delivery date for an entire MONTH later than the original date. I asked why it wasn't coming in the slot booked in store and she informed me that the store system was not on the same live system as Argos direct or the online system, so all deliveries booked in store were not guaranteed. So I asked why I wasn't informed of this sooner and asked to cancel my order as when you move into a new house a fridge is kind of essential. I was not given a satisfactory answer to the question and was given a bit of a run around in getting an eventual refund.

All I can say is that Argos really need to get their act together as these are only two incidents out of many where I or others have been needlessly inconvenienced. In a world where everything is becoming more convenient and accessable, Argos are pitifully lagging behind.

I will say that the staff were doing their best with a bad situation, but informing us after the fact that "that's just the way the system works" is not helpful. Some prior warning would be nice.

Stock seems to be quite limited so check in advance. Fast service if they have it though

I did click and collect. The service was excellent and the store was close to the carpark. It was a pity that the carpark was chargeable; Fakenham could benefit from more people shopping there and the carpark fees are a deterrent.

It's Argos as we know it but have to say service is slow on most occasions

Nice shop.
Usually it's OK customer care.
Downfall - my product was sitting behind the desk for at least 10 minutes. Everyone just walked straight past it.
