Some of you out there may be wondering how Santa gets all the modern toys to give to all of you on Christmas eve, well, here's the real story. When you send your letters to the Big Man, if there's something on your list that He hasn't got in His workshop and the elves can't make, then He emails the list to lots of toyshops including us. Now, some toyshops ignore it because they don't believe in Santa (WHAAAT??!!) BUT WE DO. We then pick out all the toys that he needs, Mark th...em down with your names on them and then his reindeer, Donner, picks them up at about 2:30pm on Christmas Eve (Mr. Sam goes into the Loft to listen out for the hoofsteps on the roof) and delivers them into the sack marked, 'Toys From Argosy Toys'. They then get taken back to Santa just in time to be sent out to all you good guys. That's how it works, simple as. Merry Christmas!

What a lovely shop. Never been to other shops in the past just smyths and toys r us.. This shop was amazing. Such a wide range of toys, massive inside, great prices and the staff really lovely and helpful.. Will be telling my friends about this place... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We were lucky enough to win the Elf on a shelf competition just before Christmas. What a wonderful prize.



Our ten year old was thrilled that finally she had an elf like her friends �. The antics Sparkle got up to!

We always have a great time whenever we visit Argosy. Every single staff member is polite and helpful, and interested in your child and what they might like. Plus we know that we can always contact the store ahead of our visit and find out if they stock something we are specifically looking for. In the past they have also added something to an order for us that was not available in store at the time. My daughter prefers to shop here over the larger toy stores, it gives you a great sense of nostalgia. Top quality service from a fantastic toy shop!

I went into this shop today to see one of the fellas sitting and feeling every single MiniFigure from the new series to work out which figure was inside so they can help out kids with getting the one they want... dedication!

I visited for the first time today with my 3 year old daughter and was very impressed. The shop is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside and there was a wide range of toys for all ages. I actually bought some My Little Pony toys in here that were cheaper than I could find online. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I'll definitely be returning!

I popped in one day last week as I had a distraught 7 year old after his pokemon shiny cards had gone in the washing machine ��

They expertly talked me through all the different cards available & very kindly gave me some promotional shiny cards that they had, a Pokemon poster & a box for him to keep his cards in - great service & 1 happy boy again!

I live about 30 seconds from this shop and don't visit half as much as I should. My 6 year old loves going in there. We have on a few occasions popped in for just a look and not once have I ever felt it was a problem just browsing. The staff are always extremely helpful and always enthusiastic and chatty to the children. They have so much packed into the shop, there's something for all ages. If you haven't been before it's definitely worth popping in for a look even just to say hi. Great shop 5 stars!

I can remember shopping there with pocket money 60+ years ago.......lovely to see they still exist.

I can not recommend this shop enough.. staff are always smiling, and always ready to help and answer questions.. My daughter is 9 and has been coming here for many years (got her first scooter & imaginary friend 5years ago to her teddy she takes to the dentist) thank you for always making her and myself feel so welcome.

First visit today after a recommendation from another toy shop when we could t find what we wanted. I'd driven past before but had never been in before as has been put off by shop exterior but was so wrong! Never judge a book by the cover as they say! What an amazing shop full to the brim of brilliant toys! And a huge selection of wooden toys and other good quality lovely toys. Will no doubt be returning soon!
