It seems fitting that exactly a year ago today I got the keys to this shop and today we close as Arkin for the last time. The next chapter of the shop opens mid June - keep an eye on the @osmologyco account for more info! A huge thanks to all my fantastic customers who have supported the shop over the past year - what a learning curve! Arkin will continue online - I'll be updating the website soon. Thanks everyone!

It's official - next week will see our last three days open as Arkin here on the Christmas Steps. For the last days we will be adding a further 20% off everything that's left. Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are the only days we will be open as we are off at meetings, trade shows and seminars as we gear up for the newness to open in June! If you can't make it in on those days, but have your eye on something just drop me a line and I'll do my best to get it to you (if we still have it in stock)!
This is not the end of Arkin Leather Goods! We will continue to make our wallets and accessories on a made to order basis - this means we will be able to accommodate more customisation and personalisation!

This year has been one of the most exciting learning curves of my life. Opening Arkin was a huge moment, and this week marks a year since I got the keys to my little retail space. Business is a tricky game, and often it takes you on a journey you couldn’t have imagined. I’d like to thank every single customer who has supported the shop this past twelve months, you’ve made it such a fantastic adventure. However, changes are on the horizon and it’s with a mixture of sadness and... excitement that I must tell you I am closing Arkin, and reopening the shop as a very different beast. Arkin will be moving back online to give me the time and freedom to be creative with my leather working again, and the shop will be morphing into Osmology - a specialist boutique candle shop stoking the most exciting home fragrance brands from around the world. I’m not sure how long this transition will take, but in the meantime everything must go so there’s a huge closing down sale on now - when it’s gone, it’s gone! Thanks again everyone, here’s to the next chapter!

This Thursday we are throwing a launch party celebrating our sister website @osmologyco - an online store dedicated to amazing scented candles! We'd love to see you there! For those of you who have swung by the shop recently you would of been hard pressed not to notice all the amazing candles instore. Well, our specialist candle webstore @osmologyco is now online and flying so unfortunately we will be moving the majority of our candle stock to a warehouse so we can keep up with orders! We will still have candles instore, but the range will be smaller and changing more often. We have lots of new stuff coming into store over the next month, and we are welcoming spring with a massive sale starting next week 🙌🏼

Apparently now that it's February it's law that all shops make a vomit inducing window filled with hearts.
