We have been bringing our caravan to Arklow House Farm for 9 years. Because of the distance we always come for 2 weeks. Gary the site owner is very helpful and courteous.Would highly recommend this site.Pitches are superb fully serviced.

User

We arrived in the middle of storm Doris, so didn't see a lot of the wildlife, or the golf course etc. We received a very warm welcome from Mark, who showed us to our hard standing pitch. Shower and loo were spotless, and heated. WiFi signal was good on the pitch, which was a pleasant surprise, will definitely return in better weather.

User

I came up and stayed at Arklow to photograph the Donna Nook seals and see the wildlife at Arklow. The site is really beautiful with has good, clean, modern facilities. Gary and Hannah couldn't have been more helpful and I'm already looking forward to my next stay at the site in spring!

Can't wait to go back. Lovely pitch on a peaceful , well run site with fenced off fishing area, golf and nature all around, including webcam in the dens/ setts so that the children can go to sleep watching out for the animals to do the same.. A little piece of heaven. Birdsong, and the webcam were the wondrous entertainment, don't go there if you want the noisy kind. There are lots of other places if thats what you want.

The only downside is the single toilet/shower for each sex. There were queues of half a dozen at times. Off putting, but it has enough going for it that it won't stop me wanting to go back. I loved teaching my grandaughter to fish, and she is proud that she caught 21 fish on her first day. Not bad going for nine. Roll on next summer.

Arrived on site when we met Gary who showed us to pitch 4. We were surprised with the layout little box hedges on a hard standing. We had to call on Gary for help as our 240v hook up didn't seem to work. Gary came with his multi meter checked it over, found the problem and got us connected. Toilets very good, plenty of hot water luckily for us only a few on site any more then we would be using each others amenities. Disappointed as an angler that the lake was full of lilies, so only a few pegs to fish from. There would be difficulty for the disabled as there is no access to the lake or any flat pegs for them to fish from. The fishing is superb. The golf course was also disappointing as the grass was really long, the greens were the same, and only three greens available. Did try it though, but after looking many minutes after each drive for my ball I gave up. No fairways cut or tee boxes visable. Shame really as I've recently retired I thought this might get me back into it. I has given me food for thought though. We really enjoyed our stay, such a lovely hidden gem, so close to Mablethorpe so a must visit to the beach. Please go and try out the Kings Head food is cracking and they welcome dogs also.

Amazing site, Gary very helpful pegging down awning. So peaceful but then it is January. We are not just seasonal caravaners. It's great that there is a large field in which we can let our dog run free, don't get that on many sites. Would definitely come again xx

User

A quiet lovely site, plenty of space for kids to play and dogs to run. A lovely little fishing lake to keep you occupied if you don't want to leave the site, some nice fish too! Gary the owner is very friendly and helpful to all that visit Arklow. Highly recommended
